Hola amigos, llegamos a la semana 120 de este maravilloso evento que nos une a través de la música y los buenos deseos. Estrenando nombre para nuestro grupo de amigos amantes de la música: "Agrupación Musical Venezuelan Power", una de varias propuestas que nos diera nuestro apreciado amigo @fernanblog, cuando nos activamos a seguir su sugerencia y la de @jesuslnrs de dar nombre a nuestro grupo. Después de mucho pensar, realizamos las votaciones, les sumamos algunos votos de otros usuarios de Hive Open Mic y a la final este fue el nombre seleccionado.
Esta semana la temática escogida por nuestro Spotlight Artist @jorge234nv es Mi Felicidad. Seleccioné la canción "La Alegría Que Da El Señor" que fue cantada por el Grupo Apocalipsis de la Iglesia Las Acacias, en Caracas, Venezuela. Formó parte del repertorio de su primer cassette, cuya carátula era dorada con la palabra Apocalipsis en negro. Posteriormente sacaron un segunso cassette con la carátula en negro y la palabra Apocalipsis en rojo. Eso fue hace alrededor de 40 años. Por más que busqué no los encontré en Youtube. La letra y melodía de la canción las tomé por completo de mi memoria e hice la traducción al inglés con el traductor Google (Muy útil para estos fines)
De ese grupo recuerdo... que el saxofonista se llamaba Ángelo y era muy buen mozo (Je, je, je)

Les comento que nuestra amiga @carmenrivas no pudo participar en esta grabación porque está disfónica, ya que estábamos ensayando en la Casa Parroquial los cantos para la Misa Dominical pero cerca estaban quemando hojas y el humo la afectó.
Hello friends, we have reached week 120 of this wonderful event that unites us through music and good wishes. Brand new name for our group of friends who love music: "Agrupación Musical Venezuelan Power" (Venezuelan Power Musical Group), one of several proposals that our dear friend @fernanblog gave us, when we activated ourselves to follow his suggestion and that of @jesuslnrs to name our group . After much thought, we made the votes, we added some votes from other Hive Open Mic users and in the end this was the name selected.
This week the theme chosen by our Spotlight Artist @jorge234nv is My Happiness. I selected the song "La Alegría Que Da El Señor" (Joy Lor Gives Us) that was sung by the Grupo Apocalypse of Las Acacias Church, in Caracas, Venezuela. It was part of the repertoire of their first cassette, whose cover was gold with the word Apocalypse in black. Later they took out a second cassette with the cover in black and the word Apocalypse in red. That was about 40 years ago. As much as I searched, I couldn't find them on Youtube. I took the lyrics and melody of the song completely from my memory and I made the translation into English with the Google translator (Very useful for these purposes)
From that group I remember... that the saxophonist was called Ángelo and he was very handsome (Heh, heh, heh)

I tell you that our friend @carmenrivas could not participate in this recording because she is dysphonic, since we were rehearsing the songs for Sunday Mass in the Parish House but nearby they were burning leaves and the smoke affected her.
"Mi Felicidad" bien, muy apropiada "La Alegría Que Da El Señor". Es algo profundo que Él imparte a nuestras almas, alegría que es la verdadera felicidad ya que no depende de las circunstancias externas "y no es que falte el dolor sino que ´€l está a mi lado" Por eso siempre estoy contenta. Verán... Cuando me invitan a una fiesta...la disfruto, ya que me gusta mucho bailar, pero es una alegría efímera... terminó la fiesta, terminó esa alegría. Pero cuando voy a la iglesia, a alabar y adorar al Señor, esa alegría que Él me da...es tan grande...que salgo de la iglesia y la alegría se va conmigo a casa... Por eso...mi felicidad y mi mayor alegría es...la alegría que da el Señor.

It is something profound that He imparts to our souls, joy that is true happiness since it does not depend on external circumstances "and it is not that pain is lacking but that He is by my side" That is why I am always happy. You see... When I'm invited to a party... I enjoy it, since I really like dancing, but it's an ephemeral joy... the party is over, that joy is over. But when I go to church, to praise and adore the Lord, that joy that He gives me... is so great... that I leave the church and the joy goes home with me... That's why... my happiness and my greatest joy is... the joy that the Lord gives.
