The book I'm reading in the video is by William James, it's called The Meaning of Truth. This paragraph is about the role of knowledge in life, I liked the way he expresses it:
"Knowledge is not something isolated and closed within itself, but rather is something that is part of the process by which life is sustained and unfolds. The senses lose the place they occupied as entry doors of knowledge and take their rightful place as stimuli for action."
Some time ago I read that 'even birds are prisoners of the atmosphere', but perhaps it could be thought that it is precisely the atmosphere that allows their existence. I think that just as everything has a limit, it is by extending those limits that freedom also extends.

El libro que estoy leyendo en el video es de William James, se llama 'El significado de la verdad'. Este párrafo trata sobre el papel del conocimiento en la vida, me gustó la forma en la que lo expresa:
"El conocimiento no es algo aislado y cerrado dentro de si mismo, sino que es algo que forma parte del proceso mediante el cual se sostiene y se desenvuelve la vida. Los sentidos pierden el lugar que ocupaban como puertas de entrada del conocimiento y toman el lugar que les corresponde como estímulos para la acción."
Hace tiempo leí que 'incluso las aves son prisioneras de la atmósfera', pero quizás podría pensarse que es justamente la atmósfera lo que permite su existencia. Pienso que así como todo tiene un límite, es al extender esos limites donde se extiende también la libertad.
