Hello, community, this is my participation in this week 113 in which the team that integrates Hive Open Mic suggests us to work with children's songs. This theme "Tell me, dad" was the winner at the Festichamo 1980 in the voice of the child (by then, forty-two years ago) Elix.Ramón Suárez.
For me it was a challenge to interpret this theme since there were few experiences that I was able to share with my father. The year I turned nine, my mom passed away in January and my dad in August and I was left in the care of my older brothers. However, I know that this thing about a father trying to use a child's toy is common, or it was before, when the boys played more than now. since a high percentage prefers to be anchored in electronic games rather than play something dynamic
Miedo, vamos, corre, vuela,
Anda, papá, decídete y no te hagas rogar,
No tengas miedo, súbete.
Dime, papá, ¿por qué no vas conmigo a volar?
Te presto mi patineta, no digas que tienes
Miedo, vamos, corre, vuela,
Anda, papá, decídete y no te hagas rogar,
Miedo, vamos, corre, vuela,
Anda, papá, decídete y no te hagas rogar,
Miedo, vamos, corre, vuela,
Anda, papá, decídete y no te hagas rogar,

You don't know how much it cost me to learn to ride
My brown four-wheel skateboard no more
If my dad told me that twenty years ago he tried
And the poor thing never learned it...
Tell me, dad, why don't you go fly with me?
I lend you my skateboard, don't say you have
Fear, come on, run, fly,
Come on, dad, make up your mind and don't make yourself beg,
Running on my skateboard younger you will feel.
It's not that hard to ride my speed skateboard,
It's easier, dad, your Chevrolet or Ford car,
Don't be a coward, dad, because I will teach you,
Don't be afraid, jump on.
Tell me, dad, why don't you go fly with me?
I lend you my skateboard, don't say you have
Fear, come on, run, fly,
Come on, dad, make up your mind and don't make yourself beg,
Running on my skateboard younger you will feel.
If you break, dad, a rib when you fall
I will call my mom so that she comes to sew it,
Don't worry, dad, I'll be by your side,
Don't brag anymore, get on it.
Tell me, dad, why don't you go fly with me?
I lend you my skateboard, don't say you have
Fear, come on, run, fly,
Come on, dad, make up your mind and don't make yourself beg,
Running on my skateboard younger you will feel.
Tell me, dad, why don't you go fly with me?
I lend you my skateboard, don't say you have
Fear, come on, run, fly,
Come on, dad, make up your mind and don't make yourself beg,
Running on my skateboard younger you will feel.

I share the song with its original interpreter:
As a nice note I tell you that a few days after winning the festival, the boy Elix Ramón Suárez was invited to sing in the emblematic Venezuelan television program Sabado Sensacional, hosted by Amador Bendayán from Villacura and in the middle of his presentation he forgot the lyrics. At that time they sang live, the recorded voice was not dubbed as is customary now. The boy ran after the camera and hugged his father crying and Amador made him return to the stage and told him that the most beautiful thing about being human is precisely having the ability to make mistakes and try again.
