Un saludo amistoso queridos Hivers, esta es mi primera vez en el Open Mic y confieso que estoy muy emocionada. Esta semana el tema es “Nuestro destino” y es todo un honor para mí traer como propuesta la canción “Solo le pido a Dios” del argentino León Gieco. Fue compuesta por Gieco en el año 1978, cuando su país atravesaba una de las dictaduras más despiadadas de nuestro continente, por eso no debe sorprender que su letra sea una bella plegaria a la consciencia social y a la resistencia y dignidad de nuestros pueblos.
En la revista Rolling Stone la seleccionaron como la sexta mejor canción de la historia del rock argentino en el año 2002. Ha sido interpretada por muchos artistas, entre esos la bellísima Mercedes Sosa, siendo esta la versión que escuche por primera vez. Este tema se hizo muy popular desde su publicación, y desde entonces León Gieco la ha cantado en los cierres de sus conciertos.
Es muy sencilla y repetitiva pero es cuestión de escucharla para asumir su contundente mensaje. Me pareció ideal para esta semana, pues según el diccionario la palabra “Destino” se refiere a: Lugar a donde va dirigido alguien o algo. En este sentido creo que solo hay un lugar al que podemos dirigirnos juntos como humanidad, y es al amor, la no violencia, la rectitud y la paz. A todos los valores universales que nos permitan vivir con dignidad cuidando unos de los otros.
Definitivamente como lo dice Gieco en esta pieza de trayectoria y reconocimiento internacional, la guerra no puede sernos indiferente, tampoco lo injusto, debemos ser lo suficientemente conscientes para alzar nuestra voz ante todo los que nos dañe como sociedad.
