Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. The year is coming to an end and some people who do not want to get rich in a legitimate manner but want to go to the village to impress and feel among during the festive season are out there plotting different means to make fast money. This is a wake up call for us to be at alert at all times. Sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.
The last four months of the year are known to be characterized by a whole lot of events and one of them is associated with the set of people that want to make money by inflicting pain on their fellow man. The people that wouldn't mind stealing from their fellow man in order to have more. Kidnapping, robbery and "one chance" are rampant during this period.
The driver of the cab that I boarded on my way to work this morning was sharing his wife's experience of "one chance" with the passengers and it was not a pleasant story to listen to.
"One chance" is a form of robbery in Nigeria in which passengers are lured into a commercial vehicle that is filled with criminals - they rob unsuspecting passengers of their money, phones and other valuables right inside the motor before throwing them out of the moving vehicles. Some have lost their lives in the process.
Thankfully, this driver's wife was able to escape and non of her belongings were taken from her. But, the experience isn't still a pleasant one.
I urge everyone to be vigilant and conscious of their environment. If you see something, say something. It is also important to avoid boarding cab from along the road as well. You can go to the bus stop to get a cab - it is believed to be safer than along the road.
