The GUS series is a survival type reality programme that highlights the struggle of Contestants (10–30 persons), their struggles against themselves and the wild i.e. nature and their search for a hidden treasure that brings to the last person standing instant fame and luck. The Winner of the last season in 2012 took home a 10 million naira cash prize and a SUV.

After a lot of demand and confusion, the Gulder Ultimate search will be back to entertain its viewers after five years pause . The theme of this year is " The age of craftsmanship" which will commence from 16th of October 2021 to 19th of December 2021, this was reveal in a short trailer.
This year winner( i.e the person who finds the last hidden treasure ) will be going home with over fifty million naira worth of prizes in cash, a brand new SUV and other prizes.
Interested Nigerian between the age of 21 to 35 are eligible to participate by registering in the GUS website , uploading their passport photograph and answering some questions.Lucky applicants will be highlighted and undergo a regional selection process.
This programme has help in entertaining it viewers, producing lot of stars,and promoting tourist attraction in Nigeria.It first took place at the snake island, Lagos in 2004, others places where it was hosted are;Obudu cattle ranch in Cross River State,NIFOR in Edo state, Awgu Hills in Enugu state, Shere Hills in Jos and other locations in Osun state, Anambra state and Akwa Ibom state. The last edition took place at Aguilera Forest in Anambra State as far back as 2014,The winner was Chinedu Ubachukwu going home with a whooping sum of ten million naira and a brand new Ford Explorer SUV.

In the fourth season of the event titled " The Search For the Golden Age " an unfortunate Accident happened which led to the suspension of the programme, that was the death of a participant who drown while preparing for the event, it was said there was lot of medical intervention but all was in vain.
The programme will be broadcasted by DSTV and other local television stations across the country.
