I've read through the comments and a lot of persons have made really beautiful suggestions on how to make our hangout a beautiful place to be.
Well for my little suggestion, I think it will be a good idea to delegate the duty of choosing each weekend's topic of discussion to different people, especially those that are consist and the person chosen will also be in charge of choosing that week's winner. This will make everyone feel welcomed just as @kilvnrex suggested.
