what's culture?
Culture has been seen and given different kinds of approaches however I intend to define it in my own way. Culture is the way, system of life of the people. The personality, deity, belief, norms, values of the way people live is what I termed as culture.
There are diversified cultures across the whole world and each of them plays a vital role. Anyone without cultural background is like a man without roots. Culture speaks about the life of an individual and how he does with people. I have the privilege to hail from the Africa continent where we have so many cultures and tribes and each one depict their conduct and behavior.
EXISTENCE OF CERTAIN CULTURES
As I said earlier, there are many cultures in this region. I will draw my niche to the west Africa region of a country called Nigeria. There are three to four pronounced cultures while others are there making their impact.
I'll be sharing on the eggon culture. This stems from NASARAWA state Nigeria which is made up of men, women both as christians, Muslims, and traditionalist.
In this culture, they believe togetherness and doing things in uniform. The overall head is called the Aren which simply means the king. He oversees all the affairs of the land, settles disputes and other conflict issues amongst his people.
There is cabinet that constitutes the empire of Aren palace are about fourteen. It's not a tenured leadership rather is for life time.

They have an annual events one is carnival while the other is called Azhili. The carnival commemorates the way the ancestors lived their lives and is accompanied by lots of display of talent and other events to make it colourful. Masquerade display is key here and hunters show as well.
The festival is characterized by the release of new yam or new season being unveiled. The son and sundry normally attend such. It's one of the memorable day in the nations.
THE CARNIVAL THAT I ATTENDED.
It was my first time and the last carnival i ever attended. It was my first time of seeing masquerade displayed. This offered me the opportunity to reignite my commitment to old friends that I couldn't see for a while now.
This is a good thing to be done.
I will recommend that a break can be set aside to commemorates this.
