To be honest, when I saw this week's prompt I didn't even know If I had a creative processs. But, I've studied myself now and I realize I actually do.
How I get Inspiration
I'm hardly ever short of inspiration as I'm a thinker (sometimes a bit too excessive). I can be just be walking and boom a post idea hits. But majority of my ideas come when I'm taking a shower, when I just wake up, at times when I'm listening to music, or even playing games. For me, there's hardly ever nothing to post about (I'm just lazy, lol). And on the rare occasion I have nothing to post. There's always weekly prompts and challenges, like the hivenaija prompt (which I'm participating in, right now), the inkwell, and loads of others. At times I draw inspiration from other people's posts or even comments. So really, inspiration is endless.
How often I write
I write almost every day. But I'm not like those kind of people who have like ten posts stashed away for later use. I'm more of an on-demand kind of guy. Whenever I have to make a post I just do it.
Steps I take before posting
Firstly, I just write whatever I'm thinking in my notepad app. Then I pretty much go with the flow. Depending on what I'm writing about, I just say what I think. Then I read it again and again and try to picture myself saying it. I usually find that there's better ways of saying somethings. So I try to write things such that the reader can picture me right in front of them. After proof reading, I copy and paste it to my post editor, add the pictures and source, and that's it. I post.
I've been doing this since I became active on hive forf about four to five months now. It has somewhat become a part of me. But if there's anything I'd like to improve on, it would be to be able to write more than one post a day. I mean, it's just so difficult for me. Although my busy schedule does contribute to it, I'm unable to write more than one post a day , even on weekends. At times I make up my mind to post twice but it just doesn't happen. I definitely need to work on that
