Traveling the World #197 - Boudin Museum @ San Francisco, USA | Travelgirl 旅遊推介 - Boudin 博物館 @ 三藩市, 美國

Hi Everyone/ 大家好,

When we visited San Francisco with friends there was a fun place called Boudin Bakery. Yes a bakery but it has its own museum inside so visitors can actually can go through a tour finishing off with some nice bread and seafood chowder(famous!). The girls on the trip really wanted to visit this place not only it is famous and popular but we love bread! Located at Fishermans Wharf, it is an easy location to go to and then visit all the other surrounding sites around that area.

我們去三藩市旅行的時候跟朋友去了一個很有趣的地方叫 Boudin Museum. Boudin Museum 這個地方本來是一間麵包店但原來裏面有一個博物館. 遊客可以先到博物館參觀一下然後最可以吃他們最出名的海鮮湯配招牌麵包. 因為這個地方在出名的漁人碼頭所以很多人都會到這裏參觀一下然後就到其他周邊的景點玩一天.

There is an an entry fee if you want to visit the museum. Due to COVID19, the museum part is currently closed but hopefully they will reopen when things settle down with the virus. There are lots of bread to see especially the super big ones which we were allowed to pick up and take photos with.

這個博物館要付入場費但因為現在疫情的關係博物館暫時不開放,希望疫情之後可以再邀請遊客來參觀. 這裏有很多不同造型的麵包而我最喜歡就是這些巨型麵包任由遊客慢慢選擇用那一個拍照留念

Apart from seeing already made breads, you can actually see the process of how the brad is made. There was a section of the museum that you can oversee the actual factory and while we were there, there was a working making some bread. I would believe during the early mornings, the factory would be full of workings making fresh bread for the day. Along way through the tour, there is a ‘bread quiz’ to see what type of bread you are and apparently I’m a “Chocolate Raisin Bread”. Great qualities there from their predictions as I am not sure if the last part is true with expecting full surprises as I am normally a simple girl who don’t expect much in life.

除了看見不同做好的麵包, 參觀期間可以看見麵包工場. 剛好去的時候有個工作人員正在做麵包但我相信每朝一早這個工場會好繁忙因為要趕快地做新鮮麵包給當天的客人購買. 一邊看做麵包的過程另外一邊有一個小型測試遊戲給客人. 這個測試是看看你是那一種麵包. 這個測試最後說我是一個 ‘朱古力提子包’. 我覺得這個測試只是對一半因為我覺得自己不是想要常要驚喜,我一是一個好簡單的,平凡的一日已經好開心.

Once the tour is over, we headed over to the cafe and had the famous seafood chowder in their famous bread. OMG, it has to be one of the best seafood chowders we have had and we have had many on that trip alone. We wanted to go there once again before we fly back to Sydney but we couldn’t make the time for it so I guess we will have to go again when we go to San Francisco again. Great destination where you can visit, explorer and eat all under the one roof.

參觀完博物館大家可以嘗試他們最出名的海鮮湯配麵包. 這個湯實在太好味! 去三藩市飲了很多海鮮湯這間做得最好.朋友跟我都希望飛回澳洲之前可以再飲一次但因為時間有限就無法做到.下一次再去三藩市我們都會盡量到這間店喝這個海鮮湯.
