I took these lizard photos over the last two days here in my backyard. I've mentioned before that we are lucky to have many species of snakes and lizards that frequent our property. These ones belong to the family Agamidae, also know as Dragon lizards. More precisely, the species shown here is known as the Mountain Dragon, Rankinia diemensis. The photos were taken with a Canon 7D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens. Click on images to see a larger version

It was quite a hot day so I imagine it was trying to regulate it's temperature a bit.
