Quite inspired by @slobberchops way to express the urban abandoned places. I too get an opphrtunity to explore one of such buildings . Well it is not actually a building it used to be Fort, situated in middle of the town. However there is twist in tale.
The twist is, what once once to be a renowned Fort now is a place for Drunkyard zone. Young Boys get into the Fort and make a drinking place. This is Shahpur Fort, situated in the Palamou District of Jharkhand.
It can be said, a negligence on Govt hands that make the Fort so Azar and Abondaned. It was kind of completslly disowning this place. However it has many good story in the past. Even you will find details in Wikipedia
Shahpur fort is a heritage sight located a little outside the daltonganj. It is situated near the Koel river. The forts stands some untold story and bravery of Chero king.
It is of good height that can easily been seen from far off place. The tall Fort is standing just beside a busy city road, and hardly anyone make notices of this Fort. Due to its tallness. It can visible from a distant..
Due to its neglect few people already built a small hut type room just beside the wall of the Fort.
There is no proper path that will take you nearer. We navigate ourselves through some wild weeds and grass to get lose to the building. The side frontal has below looks.
Inside, the looks to be quite scarey. With no one around, it gives you a sense of insecurity. As we entered the Fort, we heard some murmering, only to find few boys drinking inside a tunnel, beneath the staircase.
The look of it says it used to be a usual place for them. There seems to be a broken window which appears to be a window. It directly gives a view of the busy street.
The interior seems to be completelly destroyed or looted. Broken walls , damaged ceiling is what makes the place very risky.
But you will the traces of drunkyard at everywhere. Seems the young boys simply loves their quite moment what used to be very haunted to us.
There is only one staircase within the building that seems to take you to the top. However even walking on it bit risky. I some managed to climb few stairs. It was long g one, however not fully ready to bear any heavyweight burden.
I am writing this post ,in.middle of a grueling journey. I find it hard to find best way to describe the place. But pictures tell many stories, so here by I am sharing few of the stories through pictures.
Finally let me share the unfateful ruler of the place. Right in front of the Fort, people had made a temple with their status within.
Looking at the damaged structure, the only thought that came was that this place could easily been developed as a tourist place, however, a negligence on someone part is destroying it into ruins.
