Abandoned pioneer camp Sputnik

Samara Region, the bank of the Kondurcha River - an abandoned children's camp Sputnik. It was built around 1960. A huge territory in a pine forest - the scope and approach to construction amaze even after such a long time.

During the years of the camp's work, the Aviation Plant patronized it. They say that at the time when the camp was working, there were several old planes and one helicopter on its territory. There were a lot of children's aeromodelling circles. The camp had its own sewerage, heating and water intake system, dozens of buildings and many objects reminiscent of the contribution of the city of Samara to the development of the aviation industry.

The camp itself was multidisciplinary. In the summer, the pioneers rested there, and with the onset of winter, the camp became a boarding house for adults.

Devastation inside the case

In the early 90s, like many enterprises, the Aviation Plant began to have financial problems - it became difficult to maintain such assets. The camp was sold to a private person. The renovation began, apparently, they wanted to convert the camp into an elite recreation center. But, the work began, but never ended ... Everything remained in a dilapidated state. What are the reasons for this is unknown ... Until 2013, guards were still on duty in the camp, then they were removed. But thanks to its remote location, the camp has been preserved pretty well ...
