A Gem - Spitzer Castle

I finally visited this beauty and finally, I'm posting my first content in this community, don't wanna lie I've been stalking you already for a while.

  • Spitzer Castle - I have been watching this place on the internet for a long, long time, even during the pandemic, people visited it en masse.
I found one great blog with all the details about the villa.

Unavailable for entering.

When I finally got the chance, I got a fence in my face. Unfortunately, this does not surprise me, because, during the summer period, this building was pronounced as one of the most visited, which probably damaged it even more.

I guess this was the main entrance to the villa.

  • Castle is completely empty inside, and it's really not safe to enter now in these conditions, even though I already had planned shots in my head. The building is about a hundred years old, but the colors on the interior walls are still recognizable.

As well as ornaments.

  • Blue and pink are the most dominant colors, a psychedelic splash of colors.

Stone stairs leading to the entrance from the garden.

This fallen piece of facade convinced me to stay outside the fence.

  • There are rumors that this building is waiting for some renovation, but who knows what will be left till then. It is shame however to leave something so imposing to rot.

On the other side, the sun began to break through the cracks and shattered windows.

Me giving my best to peek as much as I can inside.

The looming door reveals that the ceilings were quite high.

Built-in 1898.

Or maybe this was the main entrance, the staircases are leading up and down.

_dsc0561.jpg

High windows in the hallway lead to the very top of the villa.

_dsc0562.jpg

The fence was torn in one place, and I couldn't resist at least entering the yard.

_dsc0559.jpg

  • There are also healthier parts, like this roof, the tiles are quite well preserved and there are no holes.

_dsc0563.jpg

Every detail is captivating, a kid in a candy store feeling.

_dsc0571.jpg

Still proudly standing but not serving anymore, avant-garde chimneys.

_dsc0537.jpg

Yes, I was disappointed because I "kissed the door", but overjoyed after two years of jealousy looking at photos that remade Instagram.

Thank you all for your time and see you around roaming through new/old ruined or abandoned gems. 🙌
