I remember I had this hobby of building the website in 2007 to 2015 and then I stopped getting serious with affiliate marketing and content creation.
As you can say life gets you and make you do things that you don't like in order to pay bills and have a family and spend time doing things.
After like many years, I decided to start building the website. And also got started with the content creation.
Niche
I don't mind revealing the niche as it is over saturated already. Just wanted to explain that I am writing the content in the excel niche. And spreadsheet and the nocode has been my topics.
I am tired of burning out in projects and working smartly instead of hard work. I am making sure to build this site as my one option to build a site that could earn me some passive income.
Soon to be 40 year old guy can hope right? I am sure I can. So here's something I am doing so far on that front. And in one month of the hardwork I got some good results too.
I got decent traffic. Keywords and the backlinks part is missing. I have to work on that. I may write some of the tutorials here on hive and linkback to that site. Something that would give me a good result.
Let's assume that I write like once a week on some topics. And that would fetch some good traffic towards some pages of that site. It would bring some traffic and that would get some search engine visibility too.
Things to do on this site:
- Write minimum 25 articles of minimum 500 or more words.
- Write external content and link to these articles.
- Create YouTube videos and increase their views to and from articles.
- Try to use schema and other things that improves SEO.
- Make sure to write content to answer search queries.
Like this there are plenty of things that needs to be done. Take example of building that blog as a brand. I don't know what makes an excel tutorial site a brand. I think if content and the persona matches that would be giving a good impression of site doing well. Like it would fetch some decent traffic to my content.
Few more things to do.
I have to find tribes where the content related to covering such report specific to site would be accepted content. Otherwise I'd stick with the data and design as it suits the tribe better for me.
I hope that by the end of this month I have some content stock to link to. And also some good traffic comes in because of that.
A lot of things have changed in 2023 because of the changes in google and SEO things. But I have to start from scratch and have to build my empire around as well.
