Hola hermosa gente de #MakeupPower. Aquí estoy de nuevo siguiendo otra iniciativa a la cual fui invitada por su creadora @mariangeltarg cuya idea me pareció excelente y conecta con la niña que llevo dentro porque ¿a quien no le gusta Disney?
Para esta ocasión el tema de la inciativa es realizar un maquillaje inspirado en un personaje de Disney lo cual esta como difícil debido a la gran cantidad de personajes que esta cadena a creado y que todos conocemos y adoramos, desde princesas hasta superhéroes y villanos que llevamos en la memoria y en el corazón desde que éramos niños. Espero que les guste y sin más que añadir pasemos a lo principal.

Hello beautiful people of #MakeupPower. Here I am again following another initiative to which I was invited by its creator @mariangeltarg whose idea seemed excellent and connects with the little girl inside me because who doesn't like Disney?
This time the theme of the initiative is to make a makeup inspired by a Disney character which is quite difficult due to the large number of characters that this chain has created and that we all know and love, from princesses to superheroes and villains that we carry in our memory and in our hearts since we were children. I hope you like it and without further ado, let's move on to the main thing.

Maquillaje inspirado en un personaje de Disney: Mulán || Makeup inspired by a Disney character: Mulan
Nota: Para empezar me aplique un primer hidratante en el rostro debido a que el maquillaje a utilizar es muy pesado por las cantidades que tuve que ponerme para que quedara lo mas parecido posible al personaje.
Note: To begin with, I applied a moisturizing primer on my face because the makeup to be used is very heavy due to the quantities I had to apply to make it look as similar as possible to the character.
Lado derecho || Right side
- Para el lado derecho comencé aplicando una gran cantidad de corrector y base en un tono mucho mas claro que mi tono natural de piel, de manera que quedara con una palidez artificial.
- For the right side I started by applying a large amount of concealer and foundation in a much lighter shade than my natural skin tone, so that it would look artificially pale.
Primero tuve que rehacer la mi ceja de manera que se viera mucho mas delgada de lo que es en realidad así que me dibuje la línea y la rellene para luego cubrir el exceso con corrector dando la ilusión de una ceja muy delgada.
Luego procedí por aplicarme sombra en los ojos (morada) completamente plana sin tonos de transición y muy marcada desde mi parpado móvil hasta por encima de la cuenca del ojo.
Con el delineador de plumón hice un delineado notorio, de rabillo largo y grueso que levantara mi ojo.
First I had to redo my eyebrow so that it looked much thinner than it really is so I drew the line and filled it in and then covered the excess with concealer giving the illusion of a very thin eyebrow.
I then proceeded by applying eye shadow (purple) completely flat with no transition shades and very sharp from my eyelid to above my eye socket.
With the pen eyeliner I made a noticeable, long and thick eyeliner line that lifted my eye.
- Una vez terminado el maquillaje de los ojos, seguí con mis mejillas. Use un rubor rosa el cual aplique justo en mi pómulo (si tengo pómulos solo que mis enormes cachetes no dejan que se vean) también de forma exagerada, que se note mucho el color.
- Once the eye makeup was done, I continued with my cheeks. I used a pink blush which I applied right on my cheekbone (I do have cheekbones but my huge cheeks don't let them show) also in an exaggerated way, so that the color is very noticeable.
Wow no había notado que se veían los pelillos...que chistoso || Wow I didn't notice that you could see the hairs...that's funny
- Para acabar con el lado derecho me pinte la mitad de los labios de un color rosa fuerte (porque no tengo color rojo) siempre hidratando mis labios antes, luego colocando un poco de corrector para que el color resalte mucho mas y siguiendo la línea de mis labios los rellene.
- To finish with the right side I painted half of my lips with a strong pink color (because I don't have red color) always moisturizing my lips before, then I put some concealer to make the color stand out much more and following the line of my lips I filled them in.
Lado izquierdo || Left side
El lado izquierdo es mucha mas sencillo debido a que el tipo de maquillaje es ligero y natural por lo que trate de aplicarme lo menos posible de elementos comenzando con una base de mi tono y nada de corrector.
Me rehíce la ceja de nuevo pero esta vez de un tono mas marrón y que quedara gruesa y con puntas delicadas al final haciendo uso del corrector y un pincel biselado para eso.
En el ojo solo me delinee de manera sutil como usualmente lo hago, algo delicado y no muy escandaloso que se vea natural.
The left side is much simpler because the type of makeup is light and natural so I try to apply as little as possible starting with a foundation of my shade and no concealer.
I redid my eyebrow again but this time in a more brownish tone so that it would be thicker and with delicate tips at the end using concealer and a beveled brush for that.
On the eye, I only lined it in a subtle way as I usually do, something delicate and not too scandalous that looks natural.
Resultado || Result
- Aquí tienen el resultado final, como pueden notar ambos lados se diferencian completamente y si miran mas de cerca (muuuuucho mas de cerca) verán que mi rostro toma formas diferentes por el tipo de maquillaje y técnicas aplicadas en cada lado, ya sean la forma de mis ojos o lo redondo de mi rostro debido al rubor.
- Here you have the final result, as you can notice both sides are completely different and if you look closer (much, much closer) you will see that my face takes different shapes due to the type of makeup and techniques applied on each side, either the shape of my eyes or the roundness of my face due to the blush.
Palabras finales || Final words
Escogí Mulan porque es un personaje que me fascina, es una mujer fuerte y decidida que rompió muchos estereotipos y prejuicios en su momento de estreno, se desvió del típico personaje de damisela en apuros para pasar a ser la heroína y así inspirarnos a ser valientes e independientes.

I chose Mulan because she is a character that fascinates me, she is a strong and determined woman who broke many stereotypes and prejudices at the time of her premiere, she deviated from the typical damsel in distress character to become the heroine and thus inspire us to be brave and independent.
