Grandfather Tobacco: Raising A Prayer
by @acurewa

"Tobacco is a mainstay of every originary culture of America.
It is smoked, aspired, drank, used as paste and even as protection of the spaces.
From the peace pipe of North America to the Mapacho cigarettes of the South, passing through all the rapé snuffs of the Amazon, Grandfather Tobacco is present in every sacred ritual of the cultures of America"

@acurewa shares some of their Yopo ritual in this post about tobacco. See all the reasons why tobacco is used in this culture; and see how modern day tobacco is nothing like it was intended for.

Bag Of Coins- 30 Mins Speedpaint Day 10
by @kristyglas

"This drawing was even trickier than I expected and I've drawn something similar in pixel art before. I spent 5 min looking for references. Items are actually harder to draw fast than environments, since we expect sharper details from close up objects than environments and perspective problems are more apparent"

Speed painting? Now that's an interesting way to create an image. Let's see how @kristyglas makes this possible. I have to say... she does make it look easy!

Lemon Cookies
by @shady

"I haven't shared a recipe for something delicious with you, friends, for a long time, it's time to make up for it. Recently I decided to bake for my daughter Darynka her favorite, according to her words, lemon cookies (just Darinka is still so childish and direct, so every happy moment is the best in her life, and the dish that mom just cooked - the most delicious)"

Oh YES! Please! These cookies are right up my alley. Look at all that lemony goodness! They look so soft and delicious. And the recipe @shady is sharing appears to be quite easy.

Drawing Merlin From The Sword In The Stone- 1963
by @brataka

"Yesterday I didn't upload any post because I was working on this one, well the idea of Merlin came to me, because I was watching some TV and I saw that they were giving the sword in the stone, an animated film that I watched many times when I was a child, so I decided to make some drawings using this film as a reference, in fact this will not be the first, because I plan to make another of this same film in the coming weeks"

@brataka shares a whimsical drawing of this magician and does quite a fine job. Oh to have talent such as this! See how it was created; from the sketching process to the completed image.

Menacing Clouds
by @nothing

"This photograph taken in the late afternoon shows a cloud formation that foreshadows a storm, which never came. The sun is covered by said cloud group, however its reflection in the sea is really strong that in the image it appeared overexposed, which was intentional when capturing the photo. The scene corresponds to Antofagasta (Chile)"

Ominous! Now that's a word that comes to mind looking at these clouds as they hover just off shore.
