What is a shadow , have we ever asked ourselves well it can be describe in many ways but in it's scientific term a shadow is describe as a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an non-transparent object giving you that dark area it is like a identical projection of the object blocking the light also giving the shadow also a beautiful silhouette image.
Of the many shadows found in my archive there were a few that , i bought back from Fraser Island which is a island found north of Queensland , Australia. This island has the largest stretch of white sand beach runs for a length of 120 km and it is here where, i found this once famous ship liner called the SS Maheno ocean liner transporting people from New Zealand to Australia now resting peacefully on Fraser Island sand bed after it got torn up in disastrous storm out sea.
These shrubs of mangrove trees are seen all around the island at low tide they make some nice Halloween photos in the way those branches are extending out creating a monstrous shadow.
Even the big Hermit crab stopped by to have his or hers lovely shadow photo taken.
Nature shadows can look so romantic and picturesque and are the shadows that get the most attention.
And we need to have our Alien shadows , i remember as a kid , i would be chasing my own shadow well am glad , i grew out of that. Now we do it for fun and even pose for our shadows now that is scary.
And just to finish this post of here are a couple shadows of my Byron Bay sea shells.
