Hola amigos de esta gran familia de #Qurator, en atención al concurso de fotografías para la categoría “figurines” he propuesto esta foto que le tomé en una feria gastronómica y cultural de San Francisco, una calle colonial situada en el Casco Histórico de la Ciudad de Cumaná, estado Sucre, Venezuela.
Estas figuras representan a todas las mujeres trabajadoras y fuertes del campo, que me recuerdan a las historias que me contaba mi abuela, sobre su época juvenil cuando vivía en "la otra costa”, es decir, Araya, en el pueblo de El Guamache, y como tenían muchas carencias básicas por lo retirado del pueblo y la época, una de las cosas que siempre nos contaba a sus hijos y nietos era la travesía que era tener que buscar agua y demás enseres básicos en cántaros sobre su cabeza, como estas mujeres.
Una de las cosas más memorables de sus historias era la búsqueda de sal a las salinas de Araya, actualmente unos 26 km de distancia hasta su casa en El Guamache, 1hora de viaje en carro, pero ella, con sus hermanos y hermanas hacían ese trayecto caminando. Sin duda, una historias de fortaleza y amor por la familia.
