| Есть некоторые живые существа, которые обладают чем-то острым прямо у себя на теле. В наших краях из таких животных можно встретить ежа. Его я и выбрала для новой темы конкурса. | There are some living beings that have something sharp right on their body. One of these animals that can be found in our area is the hedgehog. I chose it for the new theme of the competition. |
| Я иногда отдыхаю летом на даче у моей подруги. Её дача находится среди лесов Московской области. И эти славные лесные жители заходят в сады к людям в посиках чего-нибудь вкусного. | I sometimes relax in the summer at my friend's dacha. Her dacha is located among the forests of the Moscow region. And these nice forest dwellers come into people’s gardens in search of something tasty. |

| Обычно, когда к ежу приближается кто-то большой и опасный, то в качестве защитной меры ёж сворачивается в шарик, выставляя наружу свои колючие острые иголки. | Usually, when someone large and dangerous approaches a hedgehog, as a protective measure the hedgehog curls up into a ball, exposing its prickly sharp needles. |
| Но этот ёжик, хотя и испугался немножко, но не свернулся. Мы с подругой сфотографировали его со всех сторон. | But this hedgehog, although a little scared, did not curl up. My friend and I photographed it from all sides. |

| У этих маленьких животных есть смешное свойство. Двигаясь в кустах, они могут делать это так шумно, как будто это кто-то огромный. Очень смешно, если так испугаешься, а в итоге тебе навстречу выхолит маленький ёжик. | These little animals have a funny quality. When moving in the bushes, they can make it so noisy, as if it were someone huge. It’s very funny if you get so scared and end up with a little hedgehog coming towards you. |
| Ёж в итоге определился с направлением и решительно пошёл прочь от нас. | The hedgehog eventually decided on the direction and decisively walked away from us. |
| Именно эту фотографию я представляю на конкурс. Здесь особенно хорошо видны острые иголки этого удивительного животного. | This is the photo I am submitting to the competition. The sharp needles of this amazing animal are especially clearly visible here. |
| Впрочем, меня больше всего тронула на этом фото нежная пяточка ежа, выступающая из колючек. | However, what touched me most in this photo was the hedgehog’s delicate heel protruding from the thorns. |
