Qurator's Photo Quest | Surrealism

1.JPG

Surrealism in an Upside Down World.
It is the same world of the looking-glass.
And all from reflections on the river water.

2.JPG

You can compare what's above and what's below.
Earth, sky, nature, reflections and total surrealism.
And this is for the photographer work and creativity.

3.JPG

Sometimes you can not understand what it is?
Either the sky and the clouds are in the reflections.
Or is our world overturned, like in a mirror?

4.JPG

A river and reflections of the sky on the water.
It's a surreal picture, like a painter on a canvas.
When there are so many pictures, you see beauty.

5.JPG

Surrealism in art originated in the 20s of the 20th century.
Not many people understand this direction in art.
And even more so when you can see it in photographs.

6.JPG

The photos in this series are kind of the same.
But each of the photographs is a different foundation.
They all add up into a whole, like jigsaw puzzles.

7.JPG

It's not every time you manage to seize such a moment.
For photography, to show all these beautiful reflections.
Where the magical, fantastic and surreal beauty is hidden.

Qurator's Photo Quest | Surrealism

THE SURREALISM OF AN UPSIDE-DOWN WORLD.

Hello, my friends! When you think about what exactly in the art of photography can be classified as surrealism? I think it is the surrealism of an upside-down world. What is it really? And here, as an example, is the amazing beauty of nature, where we see reflections on the water of a river in late summer and in the very beginning of fall. And this is the month of September. And about surrealism itself, what is it? Surrealism was born in France in the 1920s. And then after a while it took over the whole world, providing this world of deception, illusion at the level of paradoxes. Surrealism has no framework, no boundaries and no definition - it is those very dreams and fantasies, something at the level of a dream, like a visual deception. A completely different world that shows any creativity. It can be in artists' paintings, in movie plots, and here even in photographs. It is a real challenge to any traditional art. That's how I see surrealism, in a nutshell, as an art movement.
