Recently, I get to realise I have a bad habit which is overthinking and too bad when a person overthink it's bad to their health because it's an unhealthy habit which cause stress to the body. I know I overthink because I ruminate on an issue for a long time without coming up with logical solutions for it.

I am always distracted by thinking about life, and maybe I should venture into a business or pay for a particular class online or not. My thought will be, "What if it's not profitable or I don't do well in it?" A whole lot of negative thoughts are always in my mind. Yes, it's always me worrying about the future, which gets me thinking every time.

But I am glad I am learning how to manage my overthinking by practicing gratitude and positive reframing, which means I will always think positively, believe anything I want to do or lay my hands on will come out well, focus more on the present, and be grateful for where I am rather than where I am not.

A lot of people in the world overthink, but they don't realize it because all that is in their heads is that particular thing they are thinking about. A university student can suffer from overthinking because of his or her exam results and what they are expecting. Thinking that you will fail your exams, which is a result of fear, means you are overthinking your results.

If you dwell on your past or how a person hurt you at a particular time without letting it go, it shows you are overthinking, which is not good.

At one time, thinking about your life is great and helpful, but when the thinking becomes excessive, it is no longer helpful and may result in you feeling panicked or confused about yourself, which is not good for your health.

Overthinking can lead to an endless cycle of stress and worry, making you feel less prepared, motivated, and confident. It can also contribute to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, so it is advisable to find ways to break free from such destructive thoughts.

There are different ways that a person can stop overthinking, and I can say that it helps because I am practicing some of them and they are working for me.

Acknowledge your success

when you find yourself in deep thought or overthinking, which may be about your life, your education, your financial status, or anything else that it may be.


I know it's not easy to do, but by trying to think about the things you have achieved, you will feel better. All those things don't have to be huge accomplishments, because all the little things that will accomplish everything matter. When you do this, you will be surprised by how helpful it will be for you.

Strive for imperfection

We all make mistakes at a particular time in one life and its okay to make mistakes. So, don't ever be discouraged about that. By not being discouraged by the mistakes you make, it will be easy for you to take some pressure off yourself, and when this happens, your feeling of fear will be released, and you will be free from overthinking and be able to live a better life.

Learn to live in the moment by focusing on what's happening to you "now" and keeping things simple too.

I hope this help people that overthinks because life can get complicated at times, and we can't help but to overthink even when we are told not to.
