Ahora no sé qué hacer, no sé cómo continuar.

English version

I was walking through life, with a huge burden on my shoulders, but unlike mountaineers my backpack was full of negative thoughts, worries, fears, anxiety and frustrations, none of this allowed me to enjoy life. Many kilometers ago I lost interest in enjoying the scenery, so many beautiful things I found along the way, but my hurry to get to the top, made me look at them with indifference, some I did not even manage to see.

I can't remember when I accumulated so much weight. A weight that weighs me down, tires me, strains my muscles and causes me pain. This weight imprisons me, makes me restless, blocks me incessantly. I have walked so many hours and I feel that the goal is getting farther away as this feeling grows. I feel it blocking me, my thoughts are not clear and I cannot decide rightly. This journey has led me to anxiety and fear has also taken hold of me.

Maybe I should have said no, maybe I should have delegated some responsibilities, maybe I should have let them help me, maybe I should have stopped along the way and enjoyed myself. Maybe I should have gotten enough sleep and eaten well. For I have been so preoccupied and in such a hurry to accomplish everything and everyone that I have forgotten about me, opening the doors to stress wide open, allowing it to take over.

A stress that can kill my health, can push me into depression and constantly threatens my life. Now I don't know what to do, I don't know how to go on.

I was reflecting all this while walking home, my head hurt strongly, I could not tolerate the music, the noise of the people and the crying of the baby right next to me, I felt like I wanted to faint, suddenly everything became cloudy and without realizing it I fell fast asleep.

I woke up and there was no one on the bus, the road looked so desolate, something very strange for a Friday afternoon, nothing seemed to make sense. I took a deep breath and realized I was in the same place only the calmness and that feeling that time had stopped made me notice how beautiful the scenery was. I had been walking here for so long and I had never noticed it. Suddenly a lady comes up to me and says with such a beautiful voice that could only convey peace. "Patience is the key. Only with patience will you be able to defeat stress and be free." Suddenly she disappeared leaving those words fixed in my memory. I woke up and everything was as before the baby was still crying but his crying did not torment me on the contrary it evoked tenderness in me.

From that day on everything changed. I would be lying if I told you it was easy. But since I learned that patience is my best ally, stress has been gradually losing space in my life and I have been able to find other feelings that I thought were lost. Now I am more patient and I try to take things calmly, I try to fulfill my responsibilities on time, but without rushing. I don't overload myself, or put pressure on myself and I have realized that some of my worries were unnecessary. Now I have time for myself and I am happy. I feel a relief in my shoulders and I feel free, now I can live to the fullest.

So is stress dear friends a feeling that can silently turn into a disease and damage your life. Let's try to be patient and calm, not to force things and work for our goals enjoying the whole process, the good and the bad.

Let's take advantage of the time with positive things. Let's remember that everything has a solution and nothing is guaranteed in this life. Let us be empathetic. Let's be understanding and patient with others and above all with ourselves.

It has been a pleasure to greet you again, I wish you an immensely happy life.
