Hello dear colleagues! It is a pleasure to write to you for the first time this year, with the purpose of bringing you the theme for the month of January. As our image shows, we will focus on a feeling: ENTHUSIASM.

Enthusiasm in speaking.

We can show enthusiasm in the way we speak and express ourselves. They are those sincere words that come from the heart, accompanied by natural gestures with our hands, our shoulders, our arms, our facial gestures, and even the sparkle in our eyes. We tend to get excited when talking about things we like to talk about. What are you excited about? Some people get excited about a hobby, a hobby they develop, an art such as music or movies. There are also those who get excited when talking about their family, their work, their goals, the future, their dreams.

But a key to enthusiasm when we speak is conviction. Yes, we get excited because we are convinced of what we are talking about. For example, have you ever noticed the way someone talks about a movie that they think is really good? That person is convinced that it is a movie that everyone should see, and they have a case for it! The plot, the animation, the actors, the script... you name it. But he is convinced of it. Indeed, enthusiasm in speaking is based on being convinced of something, and it shows in assertions, well-chosen words, and in body movement and facial gestures. Many of us raise our eyebrows when we are enthusiastic. Are you one of those?

Enthusiasm to act.

This form of demonstrating enthusiasm is perhaps the best known. It is easy to conclude that someone is enthusiastic by the joyful or euphoric state they display when experiencing or looking forward to something. For example, in a line to enter a movie theater, it is easy to distinguish who is really looking forward to seeing the film; some even show it as soon as they get into the car! And also when they invite others to join them. Yes, enthusiasm can manifest itself in these effusive ways.

However, it is not the only way to show enthusiasm with our actions. We are not necessarily talking at high volume and exalted manifestations with our gestures. Enthusiasm can be closely related to motivation. Imagine someone who is building his own house. Even though he has just laid the foundation, he can imagine his room, the living room where he will share with his children, where he will have his television, the fun times he will enjoy with his loved ones and the security they will have under that roof. What effect can it have on him? He will be able to do that hard, rudimentary and exhausting work with enthusiasm, with joy, knowing what it will result in. And if any obstacles come his way, as he is enthusiastic, he will seek to overcome them and move on.

In summary

If someone expresses himself without a lot of gestures, without euphoria, but with conviction, is it necessary for him to be effusive when speaking to conclude that he is enthusiastic? Not necessarily, because if he is convinced, his tone and well-chosen and sincere words will surely demonstrate enthusiasm. And if someone euphorically undertakes a job, does it mean that he is enthusiastic? Not necessarily, perhaps he wants to finish quickly. How good it is to know this! It gives us self-knowledge and insight into others.

This is the theme of the month! Now we want you to express yourselves. Share in written, video or audio form your anecdotes, deep reflections, artistic expressions (such as images, poems or writings), and real or fictitious stories telling us about ENTHUSIASM. When we participate in a simple, natural and familiar way in this topic we can see manifestations of this feeling that help us to identify it, differentiate it from others, understand it; at the same time we can share feelings with others when we go to their posts. Remember that it will be very important that you follow the simple rules of the community. ¡Hola queridos compañeros! Es un gusto escribirles por primera vez en éste año, con la finalidad de traerles el tema del mes de enero. Tal como lo expone nuestra imagen nos enfocaremos en un sentimiento: el ENTUSIASMO.

Entusiasmo al hablar

Podemos demostrar entusiasmo en nuestra forma de hablar y expresarnos. Son esas palabras sinceras, que brotan del corazón, acompañadas de ademanes naturales con las manos, los hombros los brazos, también con nuestros gestos faciales, y hasta el brillo de nuestros ojos. Solemos entusiasmarnos al hablar de cosas que nos gustan. ¿De qué te entusiasma hablar? Algunos les entusiasma un hobbie, una afición que desarrollan, un arte como la música o las películas. También hay quienes se entusiasman al hablar de su familia, su trabajo, sus metas, el futuro, sus sueños.

Pero una clave del entusiasmo cuando hablamos es el convencimiento. Sí, nos entusiasma porque estamos convencidos de lo que estamos hablando. Por ejemplo, ¿te has fijado la forma en la que alguien habla de una película que considera que es muy buena? ¡Esa persona está convencida de que sí es una película que todos deberían ver, y tiene cómo argumentarla! La trama, la animación, los actores, el guión... lo que sea. Pero está convencido de eso. En efecto, el entusiasmo al hablar se basa en el convencimiento de algo, y se demuestra en las afirmaciones, las palabras bien escogidas y en el movimiento corporal y los gestos faciales. Muchos subimos las cejas cuando estamos entusiasmados. ¿Eres uno de esos?

Entusiasmo al actuar

Ésta forma de demostrar entusiasmo quizás sea la más conocida. Es fácil concluir que alguien está entusiasmado por el estado alegre o eufórico que despliega al experimentar o esperar algo. Por ejemplo, en una fila para ingresar a una sala de cine es fácil distinguir quién realmente tiene muchas ganas de ver el largometraje. ¡Algunos lo manifiestan incluso desde que se montaron en el auto! Y también al invitar a otros a acompañarlos. Sí, el entusiasmo puede manifestarse de éstas formas efusivas.

Sin embargo, no es la única forma de demostrar entusiasmo con nuestras acciones. No necesariamente estamos hablando con volumen alto y manifestaciones exaltadas con nuestros gestos. El entusiasmo puede estar estrechamente relacionado con la motivación. Imagina a alguien que está construyendo su propia casa. A pesar que apenas ha puesto las bases, puede imaginar su habitación, la sala donde compartirá con sus hijos, donde tendrá su televisor, los ratos amenos que disfrutará con sus seres amados y la seguridad que ellos podrán tener bajo ese techo. ¿Qué efecto puede tener en él? Podrá hacer ése trabajo fuerte, rudimentario y agotador con entusiasmo, con alegría, sabiendo en qué resultará. Y si se le presenta algún obstáculo, como está entusiasmado, buscará superarlo y seguir adelante.

En resumen

Si alguien se expresa sin muchos ademanes, sin euforia, pero con convicción, ¿es necesario que sea efusivo al hablar para concluir que está entusiasmado? No necesariamente, porque si está convencido de seguro su tono y palabras bien seleccionadas y sinceras demostrarán entusiasmo. Y si alguien eufóricamente emprende un trabajo ¿quiere decir que está entusiasmado? No necesariamente, quizás quiera terminar rápido. ¡Qué bueno es saber esto! Nos da autoconocimiento y compresión sobre los demás.

¡Este es el tema del mes! Ahora queremos que ustedes se expresen. Compartan de forma escrita, en video o en audio sus anécdotas, profundas reflexiones, expresiones artísticas (como imágenes, poemas o escritos), e historias reales o ficticias hablándonos sobre el ENTUSIASMO. Cuando participamos de forma sencilla, natural y familiar en éste tema podemos ver manifestaciones de éste sentimiento que nos ayudan a identificarlo, diferenciarlo de otros, entenderlo; a la vez que podemos compartir sentimientos con los demás cuando acudimos a sus post. Recuerda que será muy importante que sigas las sencillas reglas de la comunidad. En éste caso, escribe la palabra ENTUSIASMO en el título que elegiste para tu post (si es la primera palabra, mejor). Usa la etiqueta INTELIGENCIAEMOCIONAL y ENTUSIASMO que es el tema del mes. Estaremos leyendo todos ellos.
