Emotional Love & Care: Lost in the woods

Love and humanity

I wonder what’s called humanity…
Is it all about love and charity…
Or just getting adapted to humility…
Life is vanity…

We all aim for prosperity…
Yet we fight through calamities…
Taking a look at the world…
Where we all have our abilities…

A life filled with natality…
And for every maternity…
There is mortality…
Hey! Where is charity!…

Charity became a treasure…
Hidden from the sight of humans…
Lo!
What a world we found ourselves in…

Where is love?
Fake pride or humility?
Mutuality or inferiority?
Being disabled to our disabilities…

Where are our feelings?
Why do I have to care?
Life is too miserable…
I just have to do all I can…

Good or bad…
I could see how it differs…
A good heart would care…
As a bad one would scare…

I have lived…
And I have seen the world…
I have seen humans devour humans…
And I have seen animals devouring men…

What to say about a little sheep?
That lost its mother…
Facing the struggles of life…
Right from being a lamb…

Insanity! Yet we claim sanity!…
Our eyes are filled with tears…
And our hearts are full of fears…
Where art thou? UNITY!!

Blood is red, water is colorless…
For you have made us hopeless…
You make our hearts crave and cry…
As your absence makes our heart dry…

Let’s live together in amity…
Islam or Christianity…
True love makes us stronger…
Fake love makes us weaker…

Life is great when we care…
The world is nice when we love…
The universe is amazing…
When there is no discrimination...

White or black…
Light or dark…
Humans or animals…
Love should be optimal…

The lost lamb

A short fictional story

Image from contest page

Mary was on her way to the farm as usual. She had been doing this for years now and it became a routine. Due to her poor background and her mother’s health she was left alone to do the farming.

She had always dreamed of a world where she would become so rich and save her mother. Her mother must be dying because of poverty. She had hoped that life would be better for her someday. She’d never give up on her dreams and face the reality of life.

There was a day when Mary got to the farm as usual. Then she was tired and thought of resting beneath a tree close to the roadside. She was there already feeling dizzy but trying so not to sleep too deeply.

The next thing that woke her up was the sound of a car that just hit a lamb and zoomed off. She ran as fast as she could to save it. But the lamb was severely injured. She quickly gathered some leaves and treated the wounded lamb and then got it somewhere safe to get some strength on her farm.

She was with the lamb for days and made sure it was well. The owner had been looking for it all these while. She later found Mary sleeping behind the lamb on her farm.

She slapped and kicked her! Screaming 😱 she must be a thief who had been stealing people's animals for a long time. Mary tried her best to explain but it never worked out. She was so beaten that she couldn’t walk back home. The lamb owner took the lamb and left Mary alone on the farm.

When she got home with the lamb, she dropped it in her compound and tied it down for days. The first day she set it free the lamb escaped the home and traced its way back to Mary's farm. Mary wasn’t there again. She must have left for her home.

The lamb owner traced the lamb back to the farm and saw it lying at Mary’s spot. She felt guilty about her actions and asked around for Mary’s home.

She found Mary in her house caring for her sick mother. She apologized and asked Mary to tell her the story. Mary narrated it all, and both of them burst into tears.

The lamb owner said I have a son in the city who has been searching for a pious woman as his wife. I am sure you are the best match for him. I learned a lot from your love and care.

Marry got married to her son in the city, and she became rich and took good care of her mother.
