With Games like Splinterlands finally lowering the cost of play to earn games to something reasonable. The market has been inundated with other play to earns attempting to capture that same lightning in a bottle.
This war between blockchain games is quite beneficial for the player base of these Play 2 Earns. Weather its Splinterlands voucher & SPS Distribution systems, RFOX generation by staking KOGs, or the new missions on Alien worlds it seems like every developer is brining their (A) game.
Leading Me to Dub this the season of play to earn, coming hot on the heals of the NFT boom, it makes sense this was next. Though NFTs are far from strictly Game Items, NFTs & blockchain games are changing the video game industry as a whole.
In todays post ill go over several new services on WAX & new features recently added to many WAX Dapps. Of course Ill touch base with my favorite topic Splinterlands explaining my tactics with the new Chaos Legion NFTs soon to be unveiled.

Splinterlands
Got to give a shout out to the play to earn that started this Play to Earn mass adoption. There are those that claim that was Axie, they would be wrong, no one can afford Axie. Splinterlands has nearly 3x the players that Axie, though they have much more 🤑in the game its an economic bubble.
That's why I say Splinterlands started the Season of play 2 earn with their SPS airdrop. Rentals make Splinterlands affordable & a solid investment even if you dont play.
My plan going forward with Splinterlands is, once we can open chaos legion packs find & build the best new teams I can. Zero in on the really powerful cards & max out their level for the rental market & myself to utilize.
I have learned a great deal of info about Splinterlands over the last year & I intend on capitalizing on that experience.

This is the third NFT I have gotten from the zombie coin miner colection worth more then $40. The second mine I have found actually this excellent luck came when the colection launched these 2 new NFTs.

Well you win some you loose 10 I guess, but this does add quite a bit of complexity to an already complicated NFT colection & I couldn't be happier with their progress.

I mentioned a while ago that everyone should check out Beast Gardens. Turns out I truly can pick the winners as Beast Gardens packs sold out in 3 hours.
Though whitelisted I was busy IRL & missed out on getting a pack 😥.
As an NFT vendor I have a fairly keen sense when it comes to what the market wants, this is why I attempt to warn readers of upcoming sales.
Though I missed out on packs this colection is now on my radar ill attempt to get some Beast Garden NFTs for future airdrops.

Gnocity
This is one of the NFT collections on WAX with an active play to ern not just a promise of future plans.
Gnocity is already catching on but the new Game mode shown above 👆 will be added on the 23rd. Like a Google earth AR game with NFTs at its core it appears to be something special.
Owning this NFT ticket 👆 on November 22nd 2021 (snapshot) for the drop on the 23rd will add you to the whitelist that provides you a chance to own a piece of land by buying on the drop.
I am going to attempt to get a land plot personally having already bought my whitelisting NFT ticket from the in game market.
Though the plot cost is $150 & the whitelisting ticket is $15 if bought out of pocket (mine where free from playing the game).
Land plot value in active play to earn games is nothing to sneeze at I got a Splinterlands land plot for $15, Now worth $750 I still wont sell it.
$165 is quite a bit to risk & I dont suggest spending it if you cant afford to do so, but I have a feeling this game is something special.

Land plots are all well & good, but this game is affordable on almost any budget getting a team set up will cost less then $10.
Buy On the Spike
So typically when price of crypto dips you buy right, with NFTs its the inverse that's true when the crypto your using for payment spikes the NFT price in USD tends to remain a constant.
This is particularly true when it comes to WAX, as even the amount of WAX you pay the NFT producer lowers.
As the Price is a set USD value stocking up on NFTs during spikes in the WAX price is prudent.
Even Splinterlands assets tend to remain more or less at a constant USD value where as HIVE, WAX, & DEC tend to fluctuate so when one spikes abnormally like WAX you stock up.
Even with a slightly higher price on WAX this is still a better deal assuming that the WAX price doesn't stay at a constant this high.
I will say that recently the price of WAX is far from typical, from my observations we are in uncharted territory.

My tactic is to avoid over paying for something that's just overly popular at the moment.
I find the NFT market tends to loose interest quickly, It is when the market has forgotten for a moment you get the best deals.
