El Al Rihla empezó a rodar hace poco más de cinco días en el pequeño desierto qatarí y apenas unas horas después de finalizar el Brasil-Serbia en el estadio Lusail (sede de la Gran Final), podemos ya analizar lo que fue el arranque de la vigésima segunda edición de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA - Qatar 2022 para los países pertenecientes a la CONMEBOL.
Al Rihla kicked off just over five days ago in the small Qatari desert and just a few hours after the end of the Brazil-Serbia match at the Lusail stadium (venue of the Grand Final), we can now analyze what was the start of the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022 for the countries belonging to CONMEBOL.

Como si la redacción de este post se tratara de ese pequeño juego o rito para dar una noticia buena o mala, ha pasado por mi cabeza si comenzamos típicamente por orden cronológico o directamente hablamos de la sorpresa o sinceramente lo dejamos para el final, pero bueno, la realidad es que esa sorpresa termina siendo el punto negativo o la oveja negra del inicio de las selecciones pertenecientes a la Confederación Sudamericana en este atípico Mundial celebrado en época decembrina.
Finalmente he decidido hablarles o mejor dicho redactarles mi opinión de cada uno de los encuentro por orden cronológico, principalmente para no confundirlos y porque sí, a veces soy un poco aburrido y monótono.

Justamente el calendario nos permitió que el primer y último enfrentamiento de esta primera jornada fueran dos equipos sudamericanos los que lo jugarán, Ecuador sorprendentemente, y hablo de sorpresa no por la dificultad del país a cual enfrentaba sino por los más de 90 años de historia que tiene esta copa, venció a la selección anfitriona, algo que no había sucedido nunca en la historia.
Los de la «mitad del mundo» dieron la primera campanada en este Mundial de la mano de un Enner Valencia encendido, el delantero del Fenerbahce turco marcó los dos primeros goles de su seleccionado (de penal al 16' y de cabeza al 31') para sellar la victoria 0-2 ante Qatar.
Con este triunfo histórico Ecuador sueña con igualar su mejor participación en una Copa del Mundo, cuando en Alemania 2006 alcanzaron los Octavos de Final, ¿Y por qué no superar ese techo? Para ello es de vital importancia superar este viernes a Países Bajos, para así quedar en solitario en lo más alto del Grupo A, ya que de quedar de segundos el rival pasaría a ser muy seguramente Inglaterra, selección que en su primer encuentro goleó y reafirmó su condición de favorito en esta copa.

El segundo en jugar fue Argentina, ay Dios Argentina. Ni por la mente del fanático más esperanzado de Arabia Saudita pasaba el pensamiento de que su país pudiera vencer a la selección de Messi «en su Mundial», muestra de ello las celebraciones desmedidas del pueblo saudí.
Quién diría que la albiceleste sería la decepción de CONMEBOL en este inicio de la Copa del Mundo, cuando la racha de 36 partidos sin perder parecía que se extendería al menos un juego más con el gol del D10S (10') desde el punto penal, apareció Sale Al-Sehri (48') para empatar y Salem Al-Dawsari (53') para remontar, este último con un remate sacado del repertorio de Messi logró anotar hasta ahora uno de los mejores goles de esta edición, tanto por la definición como por lo representativo e importante.

Este encuentro tuvo la particularidad de ser muy entretenido por la buena defensa mostrada por ambos conjuntos, donde la siempre bien defendida garra charrúa logró se superior, al menos en cuanto remates al arco se refiere, ya que los coreanos no remataron entre los tres palos y los celestes si lo lograron.

Para cerrar de buena forma un arranque que estaba siendo un poco flojo, la Canariha reafirmó porque es el candidato number one para levantar el cetro, al derrotar a quizás la mejor defensa de toda europa, la Serbia de Dragan Stojković, ¿el marcador? ¡2-0!.
Sin ninguna duda, está será la noche que más recordará Richarlison en toda su carrera, debutar en una Copa del Mundo anotando dos goles y uno de ellos serio candidato al Puskás, esto no lo hace cualquiera, solamente lo logran hacer los jugadores distintos como el, los que popularmente conocemos como «Cracks».
