First of all, I tell you that last weekend that suspiciously I thought to dedicate it to Hive and rest could not, first there was a failure and we were left without TV signal and internet, so the rest went up in smoke by not having how to entertain my children while I watched a movie.
So to occupy the day I proposed to do preventive maintenance to the air conditioner in the room, it is a compact or window as it is known here, the team is Philco brand 5000btu and 110v.
Usually, by my profession I know the theory of maintenance to refrigeration equipment but is not my favorite performance, besides that I do not have the right tools to do it properly, but this time I encouraged myself to do it to make time and keep me entertained.
When disassembling the covers and air protectors I find that the person to whom I entrusted the service had caused some obstructions to the evaporator to wash it with a water pressure gun, so I had to do the combing of the grilles before and after cleaning the equipment, as this allows the proper flow of airflow.
I focused the maintenance only on cleaning the equipment and lubrication of the blower motor horns since the equipment has no apparent leaks and was only deficient by accumulated dirt in spite of weekly cleaning the capillary filter.
Not having a pressure washer at home, I cleaned with plenty of water with the hose helping with a brush to remove the dirt more stuck, the internal blower blade was with a lot of dirt adhered, so I had to spend a good time cleaning line by line of the blade to prevent the blower motor is forced.
The lower part of the housing where the drain is located was almost clogged with accumulated dirt and washing it by disassembling it took some time, but the whole drain was free of any dirt and draining effectively.
On the other hand, the condenser was not so dirty but when I washed it I noticed that the water came out as with soap scum so I deduced that the person who performed the maintenance practiced cleaning with acid and also removed little as seeking to shorten the life of the equipment.
To finish the maintenance of the equipment lubricate the horns of the blower motor with spray lubricant to prolong its life a little more, then let it dry a little in the sun and finally put all its covers and protectors to install in its place of operation.
I do not say goodbye without first recommend if you plan to do the maintenance yourselves isolate the electrical panel of the equipment so that they do not get wet by accident and will be more expensive than it should be or lose equipment, I also recommend weekly clean the capillary filter and finally to prolong the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment keep the doors closed and if you are going to sweep or clean the space turn off the equipment.

Queridos amigos espero todos se encuentren muy bien y con las manos metidas en los motores, en esta oportunidad no vengo a hablarles de ningún motor ni algún auto en especifico, hablaremos del mantenimiento del aire acondicionado de uno de los cuartos de la casa.
Primero que nada, les cuento que el fin de semana pasado que supuestamente pensaba dedicarlo a Hive y a descansar no se pudo, primero hubo una falla y nos quedamos sin señal de TV e internet, por lo que el descanso se esfumo al no tener como entretener a mis hijos mientras yo veía alguna película.
Por lo que para ocupar el día me propuse hacerle mantenimiento preventivo al aire acondicionado del cuarto, se trata de un equipo compacto o de ventana como aquí se le conoce, el equipo es marca Philco de 5000btu y 110v.
Por lo general por mi profesión se la teoría del mantenimiento a los equipos de refrigeración mas no son mis favoritos para realizar, aparte de que no tengo las herramientas adecuadas para realizarlo correctamente, pero en esta oportunidad me anime a realizarlo para hacer tiempo y mantenerme entretenido.
Al desarmar las tapas y protectores del aire me encuentro que la persona a quien le confiaba el servicio le había causado unas obstrucciones al evaporador al lavarlo con pistola de presión de agua, por lo que me toco hacer el peinado de las rejillas antes y después de limpiar el equipo, ya que esto permite el flujo correcto del caudal de aire.
Enfoque el mantenimiento solo en limpieza del equipo y lubricación de las bocinas del motor del soplador, ya que el equipo no tiene fugas aparentes y solo estaba deficiente por sucio acumulado en el a pesar de limpiar semanalmente el filtro capilar.
Por no tener lavadora a presión en casa limpie con abundante agua con la manguera ayudando con un cepillo para despegar el sucio mas pegado, el aspa del soplador interno estaba con mucha tierra adherida, por lo que me toco pasar un buen tiempo limpiando línea por línea del aspa para evitar que el motor del soplador se forzara.
La parte baja de la carcasa donde está el desagüe estaba casi tapado del sucio acumulado y lavarlo desarmando poco tomo su tiempo, pero todo el desagüe quedo liberado de sucio alguno y drenando de manera efectiva.
Por otra parte el condensador no estaba tan sucio pero si al lavarlo note que el agua salía como con espuma de jabón por lo que deduje que la persona que realizaba el mantenimiento le practicaba la limpieza con acido y además lo retiraba poco como buscando acortar la vida del equipo.
Para finalizar el mantenimiento del equipo lubrique las bocinas del motor del soplador con lubricante en aerosol para prolongar un poco más su vida útil, después lo deje secar un poco al sol y por ultimo coloque todas sus tapas y protectores para instalar en su lugar de funcionamiento.
No me despido sin antes recomendarles si piensan hacer el mantenimiento ustedes mismos aislar el tablero eléctrico del equipo para que no se les moje por accidente y les resulte más costoso de lo que debe ser o perder el equipo, también recomiendo limpiar semanalmente el filtro capilar y por ultimo para prolongar la limpieza y mantenimiento del equipo mantengan las puertas cerradas y si van a barrer o limpiar el espacio apaguen el equipo.
