Hello friends, today I will tell you about the whole process that I carry out to repair the engine of my motorcycle, initially I tell you that I had an accident last year, where a truck swallowed the red light and hit me, I was unconscious for 8 hours and the motorcycle suffered serious damage to the two main parts that I consider to be a motorcycle, the chassis and the engine.
Hola amigos, hoy les contare todo el proceso que lleve a cabo para reparar el motor de mi moto, inicialmente le cuento que tuve un accidente el año pasado, donde un camión se tragó la luz roja y me impacto, tuve 8 horas inconsciente y la moto sufrió graves daños en las dos parte principales que considero yo de una moto, el chasis y el motor.

Once completely disarmed, I ran into serious problems; the first, the chassis in its front part was crooked and the second, the engine had cracked in several parts; In conclusion, the motorcycle was useless, besides that the insurance in my country is a salute to the flag, it is useless, to tell you that the insurer of the other vehicle only paid me a third of the price of the accident, (them I recommend to everyone who suffers an accident in my country that they fix the accident with the person involved, do not involve insurance, because they are going to lose, the insurance is pure legal formalism) being useless what was canceled by the insurance I decided to fix it on my own means, so I started with the engine which is the most difficult.
Una vez desarmada en su totalidad, me encontré con graves problemas; el primero, el chasis en su parte delantera estaba torcido y el segundo, el motor se había agrietado en varias partes; en conclusión, la moto estaba inservible, además de ello el seguro en mi país es un saludo a la bandera, no sirve, para contarle que la aseguradora del otro vehículo solo me llego a pagar apenas un tercio de la cotización del siniestro, (les recomiendo a toda persona que sufre un accidente en mi país que arreglen el accidente con la persona involucrada, no involucre a los seguros, porque van a perder, el seguro es puro formalismo legal) siendo inútil lo cancelado por el seguro decidí arreglarlo por mi propios medios, así que empecé con el motor que es lo más difícil.

So the engine remained, I began to disassemble it and initially I found problems, two oil pump screws that were very tight, but thanks to my brother who brought me the ideal tool, an impact screwdriver, which is a genius, where A clinging screw removes it with two movements or two blows, I remove the two missing pieces, label them and mark them as everything disassembled so as not to have problems when assembling it, and to know where they go, in addition to that, my brother proposed several solutions to the engine problem and other parts of the bike, all of them quite viable.
Así quedo el motor, comencé a desarmarlo e inicialmente me encontré con inconvenientes, dos tornillos de la bomba de aceite que estaba muy apretados, pero gracias a mi hermano que me trajo la herramienta ideal, un destornillador de impacto, que es una genialidad, donde un tornillo aferrado lo saca con dos movimientos o dos golpes, saque las dos piezas que faltaba, las etiquete y las marque como todo lo desarmado para no tener problemas al armarlo, y saber dónde van, además de ello mi hermano me planteo varias soluciones al problema del motor y en otras parte de la moto, todas ella bastante viables.

Many were the people who recommended me to buy a new engine, because they told me that it would not be the same, that it would have leaks and problems in its operation; but I had no alternative but to fix it in the most economical way, which is to weld the cracks; A welder friend did the job for me, he had experience in welding but never in an engine, so I took a risk; Doubting how good it would look once set up and working, so I kept going.
Muchas fueron las personas que me recomendaron comprar un motor nuevo, porque me decían que no iba a quedar igual, que iba a tener fugas y problemas en su funcionamiento; pero yo no tenía otra alternativa mas que arreglarlo de la forma más económica, que es soldado las grietas; un amigo soldador me hizo el trabajo, tenía experiencia en soldar pero nunca en un motor, así que me arriesgue; la duda de lo bien que quedaría se vería una vez armado y en funcionamiento, así que seguí adelante.

Once the engine is welded, buy the gaskets, the right engine cover and the materials necessary for its assembly, in addition to this, you will need a torque meter to tighten the screws according to the manufacturer and some gauges for calibration; I put it together little by little so as not to make a mistake, take the recommendations and annotations that I made in the disassembly to apply it in the assembly, these were very useful in addition to the photos; One of the last things I did was calibrating the valves, in this part I had some doubts because I had never done it.
Una vez soldado el motor, compre los empaques, la tapa derecha del motor y los materiales necesarios para su armado, además de ello necesite un torquimetro para apretar los tornillos según el fabricante y unas galgas para el calibrado; lo arme poco a poco para no cometer algún error, tome las recomendaciones y las anotaciones que realice en el desarmado para aplicarla en el armado, estas fueron muy útiles además de las fotos; unas de las ultimas cosas que realice fue el calibrado de las válvulas, en esta parte tenia algunas dudas porque nunca lo había hecho.

Once the engine is assembled, place it on the chassis already straightened; This is another story because you must have the tools and experience to do it, but I will tell about this in another publication, I adjusted several things to start the engine and test that it had been, 3 months have passed and the motorcycle is fine, no there are visible leaks or open cracks; In addition, I configured it so that it did not consume a lot of gasoline due to the shortage in my country and in general I fit well, functional and operational, I am very satisfied with the work I do, in addition to acquiring the experience of knowing the motorcycle almost in its entirety.
Unas vez armado el motor, lo coloque en el chasis ya enderezado; esta es otra historia porque se debe tener las herramientas y la experiencia para hacerlo, pero esto lo contare en otra publicación, ajuste varias cosas para encendido del motor y probar que tal había quedado, ya han pasado 3 meses y la moto está bien, no existe fugas visible ni grietas abiertas; además de ello la configure para que no consumiera mucha gasolina por el tema de la escasez en mi país y en general me quedo bien, funcional y operativa, estoy muy satisfecho de trabajo que realice, además de adquirir la experiencia de conocer la moto casi en su totalidad.
