Esta semana le hice servicio al auto de mi tío, el cual tenía un gran detalle y me dispuse a repararlo en pro de su seguridad ya que sus frenos estaban deficientes y muy peligrosos ☠️

Pues no amigo, es lo menos recomendable que puedes hacer, es preferible que no lo muevas y si te quedas sin frenos o se vuelven deficientes cuando vas en el, lo mejor es que lo hagas reparar cuanto antes, ya que es muy peligroso que andes en un auto sin frenos o que no estén en buen estado.
🇺🇲 Well no my friend, it is the least recommended thing you can do, it is preferable that you do not move it. And if you run out of brakes or they become deficient when you ride it, the best thing to do is to have it repaired as soon as possible, since it is very dangerous to ride a car without brakes or with deficient brakes.

Lo primero que hice fue cambiar las pastillas de frenos, las cuales estaban muy desgastadas. Aparte de esto, pulgar todo el sistema de frenos el cual tenía mucho aire.
Ahora bien, para una mayor comprensión sobre qué son las pastillas y qué significa el aire en el sistema de frenos.
Las pastillas de freno son estás que puedes observar en la foto de abajo. ⬇️
🇺🇲 The first thing I did was to change the brake pads which were very worn. Apart from this I polished the whole brake system which had a lot of air in it.
Now for a better understanding of what are the brake pads and what does air in the brake system mean.
The brake pads are these you can see in the picture below. ⬇️
⬆️Ellas son echas de asbesto y su propósito es trabajar en conjunto con la mordaza y disco de freno para frenar nuestro auto mediante la fricción y gracias a su material la adherencia es muy eficaz.
De esta manera trabaja el conjunto de frenos pastilla, disco y mordaza ⬇️

Luego de cambiar las pastillas de freno y pulgar más líneas hasta sacar el aire en su totalidad, el auto volvió a frenar como se debe hasta que le toque su próximo mantenimiento
🇺🇲 After changing the brake pads and thumbing more lines until the air was completely removed, the car resumed braking as it should until the next maintenance is due.
🇪🇦 ¿Qué debemos hacer para cuidar y saber cuándo hacer mantenimiento a los frenos? // 🇺🇲 What we must do to care for and know when to service the brakes?
El simple hecho de circular en un auto sin buenos frenos es impensable ya que ponemos en riesgo nuestra vida y la de los demás y estamos muy propensos a tener un accidente. Lo recomendable es lo siguiente
🇺🇲 The simple fact of driving a car without good brakes is unthinkable since we put our lives and the lives of others at risk and we are very prone to have an accident. The following is recommended
⭕ Verificar las pastillas de freno cada cierto tiempo, ellos tienden a ser duraderos, claro si no abusamos de los frenos.
🇺🇲 Check the brake pads from time to time, they tend to last a long time, of course if we do not abuse the brakes.
⭕Bomba de freno: Otra cosa que suele fallar muy poco pero falla según el uso que le demos, es la bomba de freno la cual es responsable de enviar la presión suficiente a las mordazas.
¿Cómo sabemos cuándo está está fallando?
Por lo general el pedal se va hasta el fondo cuando lo mantenemos pisado y que tenemos que (bombear) o pisar el pedal de freno para que estos sean efectivos, ya cuando pasa esto la bomba está en sus últimos momentos de vida.
🇺🇲 brake pump: Another thing that usually fails very little but fails depending on the use we make of it is the brake pump which is responsible for sending enough pressure to the calipers.
How do we know when it is failing?
Usually the pedal goes to the bottom when we keep it depressed and we have to (pump) or step on the brake pedal for these to be effective, and when this happens the pump is in its last moments of life!
⭕Pérdida de líquido de frenos: Usualmente cuando notamos una perdida de líquido de frenos tenemos una fuga en una de las ruedas o por la misma bomba de freno. Si es una rueda, el neumático con la fuga siempre tendrá una mancha, de esta manera podemos verificar y descartar si esta pérdida de líquido de frenos se debe a una rueda.
🇺🇲 Loss of brake fluid: usually when we notice a loss of brake fluid we have a leak in one of the wheels or by the brake pump itself. If it is a wheel the tire with the leak will always have a stain so we can verify and rule out if this brake fluid loss is due to a wheel.
⭕Lo recomendable es hacer un servicio completo, cambio de pastillas sellos de los pistones de freno, verificar si tenemos que rectificar un disco y probar muy bien la efectividad de los frenos al salir del taller para descartar algún problema.
🇺🇲 It is advisable to do a complete service, change brake pads, brake piston seals, check if we have to rectify a disc and test very well the effectiveness of the brakes when leaving the workshop to rule out any problems.
