The Venezuelan crisis has reached all aspects of daily life, being the production of gasoline and its derivatives one of the most serious, the country having to import, and produce with many cuts, obtaining a product of very poor quality.
Although Venezuela has the largest certified oil reserves in the world, that has not been enough to offer quality gasoline, and it is due to many aspects, the deterioration of Petróleos de Venezuela, a company in charge of the extraction and refining of oil, the difficulties in importing additives for refining, and many other things of a crisis that has been told a lot.
La crisis venezolana ha alcanzado todos los aspectos de la vida cotidiana, siendo la producción de gasolina y sus derivados uno de los mas graves, teniendo el país que importar, y producir con muchos recortes, obteniendo un producto de muy mala calidad.
A pesar que Venezuela tienes las reservas certificadas de petróleo mas grandes del mundo, eso no ha sido suficiente para ofrecer una gasolina de calidad, y se debe a muchos aspectos, el deterior de Petróleos de Venezuela, empresa encargada de las extracción y refinación del petróleo, las dificultades para importar los aditivos para la refinación, y muchas otras cosas de una crisis de la que se ha contado bastante.
In addition to the poor quality of gasoline, there are the long lines and difficulties to obtain it, its high cost of US$ 0.50 per liter or 1.85 per gallon, its low octane rating that is estimated not to exceed 80 octane, and dirt or residues of which it is not known why, if it is due to the lack of maintenance of the stations that supply it or that it comes from the refinery, at the end of the day it affects our vehicles with low power and deterioration of the pumps.
A la mala calidad de la gasolina, se suman las largas colas y dificultades para obtenerlas, su alto costo de 0.50$ USD por litro o 1.85 el galón, su bajo octanaje que se estimas no supere los 80 octanos, y suciedad o residuos de los que no se sabe el porqué, si es por la falta de mantenimiento de las estaciones que la surten o que viene así de la refinería, al fin de cuentas afecta es a nuestro vehículos con poca potencia y deterioro de las bombas.

Producto de la suciedad y mala calidad, en menos de 6 meses tuve que cambiar la bomba de mis dos vehículos dos veces, y recientemente la bomba de ambos carros se dañaron a la vez.

Luckily, the procedure to replace them is quite simple in my opinion, so I myself with the help of my children do it, and the procedure for both cars is the same, because they are from the same manufacturer. The first thing is to lift the rear seat to reveal the body cover of the pump, then with the help of two screwdrivers, we remove the plastic nut that holds the pump to the gas tank, in addition to disconnecting the ways that distribute the gas.
Menos mal que el procedimiento para reemplazarlas es bastante sencillo a mi parecer, así que yo mismo con la ayuda de mis hijos lo hacemos, y el procedimiento para ambos carros es igual, porque son del mismo fabricante. Lo primero es levantar el asiento trasero para descubrir la tapa de la carrocería que cubre la bomba, luego con la ayuda de dos destornilladores, retiramos la tuerca platica que sujeta la bomba al tanque de la gasolina, además de desconectar las maneras que la distribuyen.

Lo siguiente es levantar la bomba, debe hacerse con cuidado para que la goma que hace sello con el tanque no se caiga dentro, y que el flotante que ayuda a medir el nivel de combustible no lo golpeemos, para lograrlo se debe inclinar con cuidado hasta poder levantar por completo, también se debe cuidar que la gasolina que esta dentro de la bomba no se derrame dentro del carro.

Una vez fuera, procedemos a desarmarla, con cuidado se retiran las conexiones de la alimentación eléctrica, se retira el flotante, se retiran las mangueras y se separa de la carcasa. Como podrán notar el sucio ha hecho estragos.
The most impressive thing is the dirt in the filter area of both pumps, it looks like mud, which is why I had to clean both tanks, emptying all the fuel and with a clean cloth that leaves no residue, remove all sediment.
Lo mas impresionante es el sucio en el área del filtro de ambas bombas, parece barro, por lo cual tuve que limpiar ambos tanques, vaciando todo el combustible y con un paño limpio, que no deje residuos, retire todos los sedimentos.
In the end I decided to install generic pumps, because if this situation is going to be repeated every six months, I do not intend to spend more money on the original ones, both pumps cost me 20$ USD. Here you can see a picture of the pump reassembled, after cleaning and removing all the mud and debris.
AL final decidí colocar bombas genéricas, porque si esta situación se va a repetir cada seis meses, no pretendo hacer un gasto mayor en las originales, ambas bombas me costaros 20$ USD. Acá pueden ver una foto de armada nuevamente, después de limpiar y retirar todo el barro y residuos.

The procedure does not last more than 30 minutes per car, and I think that over time I will do it faster if I keep repeating it. I can only hope that no more happens and the gasoline situation improves soon in my country, otherwise I will see my collection of gasoline pumps grow.
El procedimiento no dura mas de 30 minutos por carro, y creo que con el tiempo lo hare más rápido si lo sigo repitiendo. Solo me queda desear que no ocurra mas y que la situación de la gasolina mejore pronto en mi país, si no veré mi colección de bombas de gasolina crecer.
