Manchester United's Arsenals

Source

At Old Trafford yesterday, the Manchester United squad thrashed Arsenal three goals to one. Kudos to them! So far, after their first two defeats, the Red Devils have won all their last consecutive matches which include this seizing of the guns from the original owners. Thereby, they successfully ended their winning streak of Arsenal. The first allowed goal came from the former Ajax youngster, Anthony in the 35th minute. The winger found the back of the net following an assist from Rashford. He was subbed off for Ronaldo after the halftime.

That aside. For someone like me who isn't a fan of watching live matches, I really prefer to watch mine after the whole heart-pounding thing of a live one. So, I always watch either the highlights or the full match through youtube or other platforms. I have been watching the past matches of Manchester United and it seems they are getting their grounds back under Ten Hag. I know it may be too early to praise them as if the Premier League is coming to end soon. But at least, we have to applaud the little they have achieved so far. One of which was for yesterday because I am sure many like me thought it was going to be a run-off for the Gunners. Fortunately, it was not.

Closely watching the highlights of the last match, it was not that they were in their best form yet because even the ball possession was less than average. But I saw some energy from the way the tackles and attack came in with some touches of counter-attacks like the one which Rashford converted to a goal.

This brings me back to Coach Ten Hag. The recent Man United squad is starting to seem like that of Ajax in 2019 when Ziyech was there. You know then they were like the underdogs. The way the young but vibrant team was beating the giants till they came across Tottenham was worthy of applause. Now, in the likeness of that, we have the ones here at Old Trafford.

I guess maybe that is why Ronaldo has been starting matches on the bench lately. At least, there won’t be one popular main man for the opponent to tackle to death. Every player starting in there is potentially as dangerous as the other. Hence, the capacity of a man to a man thing on the field of play. And honestly, I won’t be surprised if one day Ronaldo comes in from the bench perhaps in the 20th minute to the shock of the opponent. I think Hag has many things up his sleeve yet to dish out.

Well, I wish more winnings to the Red Devils. Let’s see how far Man United’s arsenals can hold them and see if my thoughts here are valid in the long run.
