The premier League is back, that means welcome back to me writing a about all things football. The first week delivered too notch football. The premier League we all missed, with all sorts of dramas and late goals. You truly don't know what you have until you lose it. My believe Chelsea suffered an opening day defeat against reigning champion, City. I honestly wouldn't be giving them too much stick but still, I expected a better performance. Hopefully today holds a more favourable result.

GAME WEEK 2

Game week 2 definitely did not let us down, as early Saturday kickoff delivered premium drama. Manchester United suffered their first defeat of the season in their visit to Brighton. Danny Welbeck, the former United man was there again to hunt them, after finding the net in the thirty second minute. United found the equalizer through Amad Diallo, but a stoppage time goal from Joao Pedro ensure Fabian Hurzeler's men took all three points. West Ham ran away with all three points after beating Crystal Palace at home two goals to nil. At Craven Cottage, it's was the former Arsenal boys that ensure Marco Silvas team took all three points against Leicester. Nottingham Forest also earned a scraping victory against South Hampton thanks to Gibbs white goal, and elsewhere, Tottenham ran riot against everyone, wining four goals to nothing. In the last fixture of the day l, Arsenal continued their perfect start to the seasons thanks to goals from Trossard and Partey.
Newly promoted Ipswich went to the Etihad and it was as you'd expect. They had a brilliant start to the game though, scoring just seven minutes into the game, but City responded quickly with an Erling Haaland double and a Kevin Debryne effort. Haaland has now netted seven hatricks in sixty eight games. To help put that into context; most hattrick by overseas players in the EPL is -
  • 12 - Sergio Aguero (275 games)
  • 8 - Thierry Henry (258 games)
  • 7 - Erling Haaland (68 games)

Amazing.

The Norwegian has also now scored against all twenty Three sides he has faced in the competition. Again, this is must his second season in the competition. What an incredible talent he is. Well, now I'm looking forward to the games later today. Hopefully we pick up our first win of the season. If you read up to this part, thank you for reading my football talk today. I will be back again soon .
