Newcastle United hosted the newly crowned Champions in the Premier League. You would expect City to drop the standard since they have won the league already and shift their focus on the final with Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.
City didn't want to lose any point and they produced another lovely performance without taking away from the brilliant effort from Newcastle United as well.
Newcastle United took only 25 minutes before they got ahead against the Champions with a lovely corner by Jonjo Shelvy. His delivery into the box was met with a lovely header by Krafth who gave his side a 1-0 lead. In the 39th minute, Ferran Torres gave a back pass to Cancelo and he struck brilliantly to find the back of the net to draw his side level, 1-1.
The brilliant and impressive goal of the day came from Ferran Torres in the 42nd minute. He expertly flicked home the ball with the back of his foot leaving the goalkeeper with no choice at all.
Just before half time, Newcastle United got themselves level with a penalty when Nathan Ake brought down Joelington. Joelington stepped up and scored to make it 2-2.
City gave away the second penalty of the game and Willock stepped up to take it in the 62nd minute. The goalkeeper saved it but he was on hand to gather and tuck home the rebound to give Newcastle United the less again, 3-2.
City responded almost quickly as they did in the first half through Ferran Torres. He got his second goal for the day in the 64th minute after Gabriel Jesus found him in the box and he tucked home the ball, 3-3.
He completed his hat-trick 2 minutes after after Cancelo's shot came off the post and he diverted the ball into the net to give his side the lead, again, 4-3. He got his hat-trick and his first for the club to complete City's 20 away win in a row. It's an amazing season for Ferran Torres.
City are not relaxing at all despite bagging the Premier League title already.
