Win or lose. That is the question. But for me at the moment it's about learning. Fantasy sports is something I really had no idea about although I suddenly imagined it as a possibility after losing so many bets because team X didn't live up to expectations.
Then obviously the desire arose to create my own team because, hell, with everything I know I'd be a good manager for sure. It's a bad joke. Or maybe not.
The truth is that with fantasý sport I have had tangible results in a very short time. However, this path is not without its faults and mistakes.
And when we take it to the level of earning money, there are different variables that influence the results.
To explain this, I will use the results I achieved last week in Sorare NBA as a basis.
While decision making based on technical analysis and fundamental analysis, which I will explain in another post, can give a higher probability of success, there is always the possibility that one of the players will not compete that week, which directly impacts the results.
Also, the characteristics of the league in which you compete, such as the number of players, the quality of the teams, the proze pool, can make three similar results give completely different positions in the ranking and, consequently, only in one you receive a prize.

In the case of Sorare NBA, I have noticed that a determining variable is to have in your team the players with the highest score of that specific week.
This is where the chance factor comes in, because you can be very analytical and rational, use the right tools, read the experts, but things happen....
For example this week, while La Melo Ball, who came in with a trending over 50 points, was left on the bench, Achiuwa, who usually performs over 20 points, made 48 this week.
He's a player that under normal circumstances you wouldn't put in the team that goes to the Champion because they give him few minutes but voila! If you put him in and he explodes that week, you'll look better in the rankings.
But there is also an additional value: if you have a limited or rare card of this player, his value will go through the roof the following week, so you can sell him at a better price and make a profit.
So when building your teams you should consider these phenomena, these probabilities, to have consistent players like Doncic, Embiid or LeBron and combine them with those players that if they have enough minutes and are in the right scenario they will perform well.
