Getting out of the ambulance and going to the emergency room was very painful, the movement my leg received was almost agony, it felt like many knives stabbing me inside the leg and to make matters worse, the entire entrance to the hospital is rock floor. Thanks to the fact that my health provider is public, I hardly ever enjoyed privacy and on several occasions I underwent procedures with interns who practiced their studies with my suffering, one of the cases was the curettage of the left knee injury, I don't know what, but I made a very deep wound as if a part of my knee had been removed with a spoon. . Around 9 pm they take me to carry out studies such as x-rays and all computerized tomography, the stretcher bearers were very careful when transporting me, but when I left the tomography, when they transferred me from the medical team stretcher to the transport stretcher, the girl who I mobilized from the lower part, I did not have enough strength and I dropped my fractured leg a few centimeters instead of doing it carefully like the previous stretcher bearers, that caused me such severe pain that the whole way to the emergency room I was crying and screaming from the pain.

Bajarme de la ambulancia e ingresarme hasta la sala de emergencias fue muy doloroso, el movimiento que recibía mi pierna era casi una agonía, se sentía como muchos cuchillos apuñalandome por dentro de la pierna y para empeorar la situación, toda la entrada al hospital es de piso de piedra. Gracias a que mi prestador de salud es pública, casi en ningún momento gocé de privacidad y en varias ocasiones me sometí a procedimientos con internos quienes practicaban sus estudios con mi sufrimiento, uno de los casos fue el curetaje de la lesión de la rodilla izquierda, no se con que, pero me hice una herida muy profunda como si me hubiera sacado con una cuchara una parte de la rodilla. Cerca de las 9 pm me llevan a realizar los estudios como rayos x y tomografia todo computarizado, los camilleros fueron muy cuidadosos al transportarme pero al salir de la tomografía, cuando me pasan de la camilla de equipo médico a la camilla de transporte la chica que me movilizaba por la parte inferior no tenia la suficiente fuerza y dejo caer unos centímetros mi pierna fracturada en vez de hacerlo con cuidado como los camilleros anteriores, eso me provoco un dolor tan fuerte que todo el trayecto hasta emergencia fui llorando y gritando del dolor. ____

A nurse took my right foot and ankle, they removed the sheet that supported my right knee and pulled my leg down to straighten it, the doctor put a cast on my leg and another nurse looked at me and told me "calm down, don't scream, just You make our job difficult." > Thinking cold afterwards, how can a nurse believe that her work stress is going to be more important to me than my suffering and my pain? It is my natural response to cry in the face of very acute pain, it is unfair of her to demand that I calm down .

Al regresar a la sala de emergencias me pasaron por la vía mas calmantes para apasiguar el dolor provocado en la sala de imageneología, solo para que unos minutos mas tarde llegue el doctor a decirme que es necesario operarme y que debido a que mi operación sera al dia siguiente, hay que enyesar la pierna derecha porque que tengo una fractura en el fémur. Me tomo un enfermero del pie derecho y del tobillo, retiraron la sábana que hacia soporte bajo mi rodilla derecha y jalaron la pierna hacia abajo para enderezarla, el doctor me enyesaba la pierna y otra enfermera me miraba y me decía "calmate no grites, solo nos dificultas el trabajo". > Pensando en frío despues, ¿como una enfermera puede creer que para mi va a ser mas importante su estres laboral que mi sufrimiento y mi dolor?, es mi respuesta natural llorar ante un dolor muy agudo es injusto de su parte exigirme que me calme. ___

Unfortunately eating and drinking water filled my bladder and gave me a terrible desire to pee, the downside is that I suffer from a shy bladder and it was impossible for me to pee in a vacinica when the panes were made of glass and everyone around me around would be able to hear me. I got to the point of not being able to move because of the pain of a full bladder and a lousy nurse came up to me and said "if you don't pee I'm going to put a catheter in you", when I replied that I just needed privacy, he said "well do over then."

La espera fue larga, no fué hasta las 11 de la noche que pude comer algo o tomar agua, sinceramente aunque habían pasado 12 horas de mi desayuno no tenía nada de hambre, pero comí porque mi operación estaba agendada para medio dia del 4 de marzo y al amanecer no podria tomar ni comer nada por el pre operatorio. Lamentablemente comer y tomar agua me lleno la vejiga y me dieron unas ganas terribles de hacer pis, el inconveniente es que yo sufro de vejiga tímida y fue imposible para mi hacer pis en una vacinica cuando los cristales eran de vidrio y todo el mundo a mi al rededor iba a poder escucharme. Llegue al punto de no poder moverme por el dolor de la vejiga llena y un pésimo enfermero se me acerca y me dice "si no haces pis te voy a poner una sonda", al yo responderle que solo necesitaba privacidad, me dijo "bueno hazte encima entonces". ____

I spent a whole day there with little attention from the nurses since they had to use contagion risk suits and only entered what was necessary as medication, finally I had to ask them to put a catheter in me because it was very difficult for me to pee, but that is a sacrifice as they insert a tube through your urethra into your bladder and discharge the urine into a bag. my operation was not until March 5 at three in the morning when they went to look for me to enter the operating room.

Allí pase todo un dia con poca atención de enfermeras ya que debian utilizar trajes de riesgo de contagio y solo entraban a lo necesario como medicación, finalmente tuve que pedir que me pusieran una sonda porque era muy difícil para mi hacer pis, pero eso es un sacrificio ya que insertan un tubo por tu uretra hasta la vejiga y descarga la orina en una bolsa. mi operación no fue hasta 5 de marzo a las tres de la mañana que me fueron a buscar para ingresarme a quirófano. ____

My parents are very far away and they don't know anything about what happened to me. > At this point I just thought that I had held back the desire to tell my family about the accident because I didn't want to worry them, I was very afraid that anything would happen to me in the operating room and that my parents would later find out everything that had happened, I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but entering an operating room is always worth a risk. The anesthesiologist makes me sign a paper where I agree to receive anesthesia, they take off my clothes, they put an anesthetic in the lower part of my spine called an epidural and when I go to bed they start giving me anesthesia through the line and in a few seconds I lose consciousness, to Waking up 7 hours later with the operated leg, I had a little difficulty breathing but with a respiratory exerciser and a glass of water I returned to normal.

Yo le envié un mesaje a mi pareja para decirle que estaba entrando a cirugía, en camino al quirófano me dieron muchas ganas de llorar, el camillero me consolaba diciéndome que todo saldría bien, al llegar el doctor se acerca y brevemente me explica que mi operación consistia en poner una pieza de titanio a traves del fémur, yo le pido por favor doctor que no me pase a nada, mi padres estan muy lejos y ellos no saben nada de lo que me paso. >En este punto yo solo pensaba que habia contenido las ganas de decirles sobre el accidente a mi familia porque no queria preocuparlos, tenía mucho miedo de que me pasara cualquier cosa dentro del quirófano y que mis padres se enteraran luego todo lo que había pasado, ya se que suena un poco dramático pero entrar a un quirófano siempre amerita un riesgo. I spent three more days in the hospital, thanks to the blows from the accident I had very limited mobility, anything was a great effort, at this point the nurses were much more friendly and I never lacked painkillers, when the doctor discharged me alone He went to check the wounds and previously gave me x-rays to see the fracture, then they gave me all the recovery medicines and sent me home, I will tell you about the recovery at home in a future post. . Fue entonces despues de dos largos días que pude volver a ver a Fran el 5 de marzo cerca de medio dia, tenerlo cerca me hizo sentir más tranquila y aunque todavía estaba algo atontada por la anestesia comencé a avisar a mi familia, primero con mi papá quien según lo esperado tomo con mucha calma las cosas, luego hable con mi mamá con quien si fuí un poco mas sentimental y con quien sentía mas culpa de no haberle avisado antes, luego llame a mis abuelas, ambas muy preocupadas pero aliviadas de que ya hubiera pasado lo peor, luego llame a mi hermano quien terminó de enterarse al hablar con mi mamá en la casa. Estuve tres días más en el hospital, gracias a los golpes del accidente tenia una movilidad muy reducida, cualquier cosa era un esfuerzo muy grande, en este punto las enfermeras eran mucho más amables y nunca me falto analgésicos, al darme de alta el doctor solo fue a revisar las heridas y previamente me indico rayos x para ver la fractura, luego me dieron todas las medicinas de la recuperación y me enviaron a casa, la recuperacion en casa se las contaré en un próximo post.
