Bonus HBI Shares ++ First Goal Scorer + Correct Score Comp. No 386: Europa League: West Ham v KRC Genk - October 21st 2021 - 5000 + 5500 Sports Tokens

After Salah saved Liverpool's skin on Tuesday in a game against Atletico Madrid that had everything, it looks like there is no way they won't progress through to the knockout stage as group winners.

It's been a good week for the British teams in Europe this week as City, Liverpool, Chelsea and even Scum won, after a lucky, last-minute Ronaldo goal, and Leicester and Rangers both won in the Europa League last night.

Tonight, Rangers take on Brondby IF in Group A, whilst in Group H...

@nathen007's Prediction

West Ham sit at the top of Group H with 2 wins out of 2, the good news for them is that Tomas Soucek is in line to play after some plastic surgery following his nasty kick in the head which he received against Everton at the weekend.

David Moyes will need to have his team prepared well and it will be interesting to see if he rest any key players as part of his squad rotation policy or whether he puts out his strongest team available, after a top 6 finish in the Premier League last year, no doubt he will have one eye on the big game on Sunday against Spurs as they currently sit in 7th and will no doubt be hoping to push on for a coveted top 4 spot this year, after all, it's 'only KRC Genk', or is it?

KRC Genk are sitting in 3rd in the Group after a win against Rapid Vienna but a heavy home defeat against Dinamo Zagreb. Their domestic form is decent though, they sit in 7th place after 111 games with only 5 points separating them with the top spot but with three straight losses in all competitions, John van den Brom’s men will be feeling the pressure, especially with top defender Daniel Munoz being missing after being sent-off against Dinamo Zagreb.

KRC Genk could go top of the group with a win tonight and hopefully, this might spur them on, but with canny David Moyes and West ham full of confidence, perhaps only their over-confidence might cost them three points.

Prediction: West Ham 1 : 2 KRC Genk - First Goal Scorer: Ito

Simply write the name of the FIRST GOALSCORER and the CORRECT SCORE as a comment. The competition closes 5 minutes before kick-off which is 20.00 BST

The Small Print
In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 50 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post-pay-out. Other bonuses are paid out at my discretion.

And the winners were...

Here we go again! The Salah fan-boys were out on Tuesday but the most calls were for Suarez. Salah, of course, didn't let them down so it's congratulations to @numpypython, @abimbola753 and @ralph75 who split the pot which I rounded up to 6k so they take home 2000 tokens each.

No one got the correct 2:3 score line so that just leaves the HBI shares which is 2 each just for this week due a huge upvote earlier in the week for which I'm extremely grateful for, and so 2 HBI shares each go to @yeckingo1 and @mrenglish !

That's it again for today, I wasn't around yesterday as I came down to Koh Samui for a week with the in-laws. Oh joy, looks like I'll have plenty of time on my hands. Thanks for playing and catch you all tomorrow.
