Gameweek 4 Preview | Will this be another hit-or-miss gameweek?

I don't ever want to be giving credit to Manchester City, but I have to be unbiased here. They have proved to be a force under Pep and their squad is well endowed. The good news though is that they are desperate to win the Champions League and I think they will be more focused on that than the premier league.

Sadly, I have to begrudgingly accept that Liverpool may not be in the title race from what we are already seeing after the first 3 gameweeks of the season.

We seem to be going through a lot of difficulties and it's affecting our overall performance in games, but all these can be worked on. There can be an adjustment in the mentality shift. Few months ago, Liverpool were described as the 'mentality monsters'. We need to see that Liverpool side again.

At the moment, it seems like we are already out of the title race. I know a lot of games still have to be played, but it does not seem like we will be getting the 92 or 95 points needed to challenge for titles in EPL. That's the sad reality we are facing, but the major focus at the moment should be for Liverpool to get back to the level where they can win games easily against the Leeds, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth of this era.

Anyway, talking about Bournemouth, we'd have a game with them today.

I can't imagine a world where we will lose 4 games in a row at the start of the season, but seeing how we performed in the previous games, it will be best to keep expectations low as we go into this game. I hope the boys prove me wrong and get a very convincing win. I would love that.

Interestingly, I'm trying to imagine what our lineup will be like. Whatever happens, it's still obvious that our is wack. If Bournemouth manages to keep their backline tight until the 60th minute, Liverpool will find themselves in all sorts of issues because there is no quality in our bench at the moment.

Enough about Liverpool. Let's have a look at other interesting fixtures that are scheduled for the day.

Manchester United will visit Southampton. This will be a true test for them. Not necessarily because of the quality of Southampton, but I'm sure the footballing world is watching to see if their win against Liverpool was a sign of something new for Ten Hag's era at Manchester United.

Chelsea lost all 3 points against Leeds in the previous game week. They will be welcoming Leicester City this afternoon in a fixture which promises to have a lot of intensity. This will be a cracker.

Manchester City is also up against Crystal Palace today after sharing points with Newcastle in the previous gameweek. Knowing Man City for what they are capable of doing, I believe this game will be dead and buried by the end of the first half. Haha. I hope not, but we will see how it unfolds.

Arsenal on the other hand has been enjoying a rollercoaster ride since this season. They have a 100% winning record and they win convincingly. I expect nothing less from them as they welcome Fulham to the Emirates.

Before we call it a wrap, let's dive into FPL.

My team is cooked and ready for another hit-or-miss week. Haha. Check that out.
