To be honest, I have not been happy with Chelsea's performance this season until last Saturday. Our first game against Everton was a narrow escape for us. The next game against Tottenham wasn't as it should be irrespective of the irregularities that took place in the game and our game against Leeds United is something I don't want to talk about. I only want Mendy to know that in the Premier League, be the goalkeeper you are, and leave dribbling for Attackers.
I was enjoying our game against Leicester City until Conor Gallagher was shown the second yellow just 28 minutes into the game. Our struggle started from then till 90 minutes. All thanks to Sterling who delivered us from what could have been another defeat. We have been expecting such a performance from him and he gave it to us when it mattered the most. Leicester City on their part couldn't believe the outcome of the game. They were still trying to take advantage of the red card when they went 2 goals down. Luck wasn't on their side as well because they had several golden opportunities which they missed.
This makes it two consecutive matches where we have seen red cards and it doesn't print a good image for us. I hope we have a clean good game against Southampton tomorrow. The UEFA Champions League will also kick off next week, I hope to see a new Chelsea before then.
