Tottenham Hotspur suffered their first defeat of the season in absence of Son Heung-min, the forward got injured and was unable to play against Crystal Palace.
It was a disappointing performance from Tottenham regardless of the red card that was issued to Tanganga after getting his second yellow for committing a foul on Zaha. Spurs didn't look coordinated and they were poor offensively, they allowed Crystal to put so much pressure on them which caused them to make lots of silly mistakes.
The victory marks Crystal Palace first this season and it meant the opposite for Tottenham because it is their first loss of the season. The fans would be disappointed at Spurs performance because everyone was expecting something bigger than what they offered.
Conceding three times in a single match against Crystal Palace means the team hasn't met a tough opponent or probably they depended too much on Son all this while.
Zaha opened the scoreline from the spot-kick in the second half of the match and Odsonne Edouard got two goals as a substitute in the match.
My thoughts
Despite Tottenham's last victory in the league this season, I know they haven't been exceptional because they struggled in the past matches. They have won all their previous matches with a lone goal.
It tells how much the team is yet to reach their full potential, they must work harder to avoid losses in the coming matches.
