College Football 2021 Week 3 into Week 4

Last week's college football was somewhat satisfying. I mean, the teams I root for won their games. It's given me a bit more enthusiasm towards watching sports again. Although, not by much. Anyways, here are the scores per ESPN:

Both games were closer than they appeared. Given my teams had the home field advantage, things could have gone the other way had they played away games. But hey, wins over ranked opponents are quality wins.

This upcoming weekend isn't that exciting for either Nittany Lions or Cougars. Penn State will face off with FCS opponent Villanova (which is my favorite basketball school). BYU will play against South Florida at home. I would be very surprised if either team have troubles handling their visitors.

Elsewhere, there was a glimmer of hope that this wouldn't be a Crimson Tide year. The swamp is a dangerous place. However, I bet Saban will sort his boys out and still be contenders for the rest of the season. Could Georgia be the one that comes out on top? I guess we shall see.

Other than that, there were some fun upsets. Like I mentioned last week, Pac-12 seems to be struggling. Three weeks into the season and Oregon is the only team that had a semblance of being able to compete at the top.

The rest, well, it's hard to say. I don't usually follow what those teams are doing. It wouldn't surprise me that they received their rankings because of their conferences.

If you want to follow some oddities, it may be worth your time to see how is it that North Carolina is still a ranked team. Or, check out what the Fighting Irish has been doing since the media has been silent about them this season.

Who knows? There may be more upsets ahead of us. Stay tuned.
