Asilidae Photography | March 06, 2021

Hello friends, the day I found a small predator that is Asilidea, this is a type of insect that eats other insects, in a previous post I made the same insect post. When I first saw it I thought it was a bee, but I was wrong it wasn't a bee but a predator targeting other insects.

The Asilidae are the robber fly family, also called assassin flies. They are powerfully built, bristly flies with a short, stout proboscis enclosing the sharp, sucking hypopharynx.
The name "robber flies" reflects their notoriously aggressive predatory habits; they feed mainly or exclusively on other insects and as a rule they wait in ambush and catch their prey in flight.Source

I have prepared some little Asilidae peradator images for me to show to all of you, here are some of the images I have prepared for you all hope you like them.
