I'm not sure why this community is called "fascinating insects," since arachnids and other non-insectoid arthropods have been welcome here since its inception, but molluscs? Hmm... perhaps we need a community for "sticky and slippery critters," that includes molluscs, amphibians, and reptiles.
I'm surprised that your snails are still active - mine started to hibernate a while ago. I've had one hanging on the underside of my cupboard for the past month, and I expect it won't wake up until April or May.
