Threatening clusters

I once told you that I like Pyrrhocoris apterus very much.

Mostly because firebugs are harmless and do no harm to anyone.

They don't attack people and don't bite, no matter what.

Unlike some "gentle" and beautiful insects that we all know very well, as I told you recently.

Still, the sight of such a gathering of animals in one place, whatever they are, seems threatening.

It didn't seem that way to me before.

I've photographed firebug clusters before and I've never seen them as a threat.

But this year, with all its climatic features, with all the insect invasions, and with all the new insect species I've seen, the feeling is different.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
