What to do when insects do not want to pose?

You shoot and shoot and shoot a bit more and hope that on some of those photos they will at least look like an insect.

That's what I did with this one.
A speedy little bee that wouldn't sit still for more than 2-3 seconds. Nothing like the slow nd bigger honey bees. Those are just so damn easy to shoot!

I found a place covered in those Echium plantagineum flowers and I could hear all the buzzing around it. But for a while I could only hear it. It took me a moment to actually notice dozens of those little, grey bees. The noise they make is quite different than regular buzz... the tone is higher and more squeeky?

Not the best angle, but at least she was sitting still for a few seconds.
