Greetings to the HIVE community! My name is Leisa Sanchez and I am pleased to share a piece of my life with all of you.
Before I go any further, I would like to express my sincere thanks to @thorkellnft and @luisdey, who have guided and taught me about HIVE. Your guidance has been invaluable.
Mi historia se desarrolla en Fomento, un rincón en Cuba que fue testigo de mi crecimiento hasta la adolescencia. A los 6 años, tomé mis primeros pasos en el mundo educativo en una escuela que se encontraba cerca de mi hogar. Cada mañana, era acompañada por amistad, ya que mis amiguitos, también vecinos, compartían el recorrido conmigo.
Mis estudios superiores dieron inicio con la carrera de Psicología y Pedagogía. Fue durante esta etapa que un nuevo capítulo se abrió en mi vida: en 2014, me uní al equipo de la Escuela Pedagógica como psicopedagoga. Fue allí donde el destino me tenía reservada una sorpresa aún mayor, ya que conocí a mi actual esposo. A partir de ese punto, nuestra historia se entrelazó y floreció en una relación que culminó en un hermoso matrimonio.
My story takes place in Fomento, a corner of Cuba that witnessed my growth until I was a teenager. At the age of 6, I took my first steps in the educational world in a school that was close to my home. Every morning, I was accompanied by friendship, as my friends, also neighbors, shared the journey with me.
My higher education began with a degree in Psychology and Pedagogy. It was during this stage that a new chapter opened in my life: in 2014, I joined the Pedagogical School team as a psychopedagogue. It was there that fate had an even bigger surprise in store for me, as I met my current husband. From that point on, our story intertwined and blossomed into a relationship that culminated in a beautiful marriage.

De esa unión nació una hermosa niña que ahora es el centro de nuestras vidas. La criamos con amor y dedicación, llenando cada día con alegría y cariño. Sin embargo, como en toda trayectoria, las situaciones cambiantes nos llevaron a tomar decisiones. Por cuestiones de la vida, decidí cambiar de entorno laboral, y ahora me encuentro rodeada de niños maravillosos que han tocado mi corazón de manera especial.
En mi actual puesto de trabajo, mi enfoque se centra en cuidar y educar a niños que enfrentan desafíos únicos en sus vidas. Entre ellos se encuentran aquellos con discapacidades intelectuales, otros que luchan contra dificultades en su proceso de aprendizaje y varios más que se enfrentan a obstáculos en su desarrollo cognitivo y conductual. A través de mi dedicada labor, he cultivado un profundo amor, respeto y habilidad para guiar a estos pequeños, que están inmersos en un constante viaje de descubrimiento y crecimiento. Para continuar brindando el mejor apoyo posible, me esfuerzo por superarme constantemente. Como un paso en esa dirección, en septiembre presentaré y defenderé mi tesis sobre "Atención Educativa a la Diversidad", un logro que busca expandir mi capacidad para hacer una diferencia en sus vidas.
From that union was born a beautiful little girl who is now the center of our lives. We raised her with love and dedication, filling each day with joy and affection. However, as in any trajectory, changing situations led us to make decisions. As a matter of life, I decided to change my work environment, and now I find myself surrounded by wonderful children who have touched my heart in a special way.
In my current position, my focus is on caring for and educating children who face unique challenges in their lives. Among them are those with intellectual disabilities, others who struggle with difficulties in their learning process, and several more who face obstacles in their cognitive and behavioral development. Through my dedicated work, I have cultivated a deep love, respect and ability to guide these little ones, who are immersed in a constant journey of discovery and growth. To continue to provide the best support possible, I strive to constantly improve myself. As a step in that direction, in September I will present and defend my thesis on "Educational Attention to Diversity", an achievement that seeks to expand my ability to make a difference in their lives.
En resumen, mi historia es una mezcla de experiencias familiares, educativas y profesionales. Cada paso que he dado ha moldeado quien soy hoy: una mujer apasionada por su familia, comprometida con su trabajo y entusiasta por cada desafío que la vida me presenta. Agradezco a HIVE por brindarme la oportunidad de compartir mi historia con esta maravillosa familia.
In short, my story is a mix of family, educational and professional experiences. Each step I have taken has shaped who I am today: a woman who is passionate about her family, committed to her work and enthusiastic about every challenge life throws my way. I thank HIVE for giving me the opportunity to share my story with this wonderful family.
