Hace ya una semana anunciábamos nuestro primer evento físico para la comunidad y el primero sobre Hive en Cuba. Poco fue el tiempo que tuvimos para organizarlo todo a partir de que pudimos resolver el lugar donde realizarlo pero entre todos pudimos y el lugar no pudo ser mejor. Dimos con La Marca, una estudio y galería de arte corporal que apoya mucho a las comunidades en Cuba permitiéndoles el uso de su espacio para cualquier actividad que necesiten. Tenemos la suerte de formar parte ya de su familia de artistas y volveremos algún día, incluso estos artistas están estudiando Hive para ingresar y les ayudaremos en todo lo que necesiten.
Al tener el lugar todo fue fluyendo, salió la imagen de promoción gracias al trabajo de @janetedita, se coordino quienes hablarían y como enfocaríamos las charlas, mas allá de que este evento se basaría en la comunidad. Se trabajo fuertemente en hacer llegar la noticia a todos para lograr atraer la mayor cantidad de personas posibles, pues podía asistir cualquier persona aun sin pertenecer a la comunidad. Algunas cosas quedaron pendientes pero no influían como tal en el evento, eran mas bien un plus que queríamos dar y que quedaran para el próximo evento, al final les hablare de ello.
Todo fue muy rápido, la semana paso volando y llego el día de vernos todos. Al inicio éramos alrededor de 10 personas solamente, pero a cada momento que pasaba iban llegando mas y mas personas. Comenzamos las distintas charlas a las 2:05 PM con la atención de todos y dejamos grabando todo para ver la posibilidad de compartirlo con todos luego en 3Speak.
A week ago we announced our first physical event for the community and the first one about Hive in Cuba. We had little time to organize everything after we were able to find a place to hold it, but together we were able to do it and the place couldn't have been better. We found La Marca, a body art studio and gallery that supports the communities in Cuba by allowing them the use of their space for any activity they need. We are lucky to already be part of their family of artists and we will come back someday, even these artists are studying Hive to enter and we will help them in everything they need.
When we had the place everything was flowing, the promotional image came out thanks to the work of @janetedita, we coordinated who would speak and how we would focus the talks, beyond the fact that this event would be based on the community. We worked hard to get the news out to everyone to attract as many people as possible, because anyone could attend even without belonging to the community. Some things were left pending but they did not influence the event as such, they were rather a plus that we wanted to give and that would be left for the next event, I will tell you about it at the end.
Everything went very fast, the week flew by and the day came to see us all. At the beginning we were only about 10 people, but with each passing moment more and more people were arriving. We started the different talks at 2:05 PM with the attention of everyone and we recorded everything to see the possibility of sharing it with everyone later on @3speak.
Primero se hablo de la comunidad en sí, desde como surgió hasta los pasos que ha dado en menos de 4 meses de creada. La presentación la impartió @manuphotos acorde a su puesto como administrador de la comunidad, entre los logros de la comunidad como la adopción de Hive como moneda en algunos negocios cubanos y exchanges como @andalecocinamex, @tecnocuban1 y @telepay. Además se expresaron ideas a futuro que se tienen pensadas para la comunidad como:
Algunas de estas son muy a futuro pero siempre se debe tener una guía de hacia dónde ir para no estancarse. Al terminar se dio paso a preguntas que fueron contestadas e incluso hubo un debate sobre como promocionar mejor Hive en Cuba
Presentation about HiveCuba
First we talked about the community itself, from how it emerged to the steps it has taken in less than 4 months of creation. The presentation was given by @manuphotos according to his position as administrator of the community, among the achievements of the community as the adoption of Hive as currency in some Cuban businesses and exchanges as @andale, @tecnocuban1 and @telepay. Future ideas for the community were also expressed, such as:
- Conduct an annual event on Hive.
- Create our website.
- Becoming a witness in the blockchain.
- To automate the remittance of earnings for cures.
- Increase the adoption of Hive and HBD in private businesses.
- Generate new communities on Hive.
- Support the creation of Hive events in other provinces.
- Support community projects in Cuba.
Some of these are very forward-looking but one should always have a guide of where to go in order not to stagnate. At the end, questions were answered and there was even a debate on how to better promote Hive in Cuba.
La segunda presentación estuvo a cargo de @noakmilo que nos dio consejos sobre como redactar mejor en Peakd. Desde como estructurar una publicación bilingüe hasta las etiquetas y el uso de la funcionalidad de plantillas para agilizar el trabajo. Además se describió la anatomía de buen Tweet para promocionar tus publicaciones en Twitter, aquí surgieron algunas dudas sobre los tokens que existen en Hive que al terminar la presentación se respondieron.
Presentation about writing in Peakd
The second presentation was given by @noakmilo who gave us tips on how to write better in Peakd. From how to structure a bilingual publication to tags and how to use the template functionality to speed up the work. He also described the anatomy of a good Tweet to promote your publications on Twitter, here were some doubts about the tokens that exist in Hive that were answered at the end of the presentation.
Para cerrar, @theinfiltred nos deleitó sobre los NFT en Hive. Se centro en el mercado de NFTShowroom y su funcionamiento, aunque también hizo alusión a los distintos juegos PlayToEarn que existen en Hive y que utilizan esta tecnología. Se discutió sobre otros mercados NFT en aras de contestar las dudas que fueron surgiendo entre los asistentes.

To close, @theinflitred delighted us about NFTs on Hive. He focused on the NFTShowroom marketplace and how it works, but also alluded to the various Playtoearn games that exist on Hive that use this technology. Other NFT markets were discussed in order to answer the doubts that arose among the attendees.
Creo que hablo por la mayoría cuando digo que el evento fue un éxito, asistieron alrededor de 35 personas y todo fluyo con muy buenas vibras. Al finalizar varios nos quedamos a conversar para conocernos, tomarnos fotos, discutir sobre Hive y en general hacer networking. Casi 24 horas después y aun tengo la sensación de que hemos dado un paso enorme hacia donde queremos llegar como comunidad, como si todo fuera encajando como debe ser.

Feelings
I think I speak for the majority when I say that the event was a success, about 35 people attended and everything flowed with very good vibes. At the end of the event several of us stayed to chat, get to know each other, take pictures, discuss about Hive and in general do networking. Almost 24 hours later and I still have the feeling that we have taken a huge step towards where we want to go as a community, as if everything was coming together as it should.
It remains for me to thank everyone who attended and those who have made this meeting a reality. To mention a few: @hivecreator, @aliento, @eddiespino and @soyenrique, always grateful. We are already preparing another event to be held in July focused on Hive and all its aspects, where we expect a greater participation and we are looking forward to it. See you in July!
