Revamped Login System

If you haven't noticed already, 3Speak is now using a new "Sign Up/Log In" system. Now anyone can create an account with their Email Id. Once the email account is verified, they can connect multiple Hive Accounts as different channels (using posting Keys) under a single 3Speak Account.

We were using Hivesigner (Steemconnect) previously. Hivesigner is a 3 Step login process and it seems to be a bottleneck for most of our creators who are not blockchain or tech savy. The Hive signer explanation to login is quite confusing to many. We also wanted our users to create a single account under which they could create dedicated (multiple) channels for their video content.

How It Works

First time users can follow the steps below to create a new 3Speak account and connect with their active Hive Accounts:

Step 1 - Visit 3Speak

Go to https://3speak.online/ and click on "Login" button in the top-right corner of the UI.

Step 2 - Signup/Login

Once Step 1 is complete, Login/Signup page will open:

If you do not have an account already, please click on "Sign Up" and the following window will open:

Mention your email ID, a Strong password and Click on "Sign Up" Button. The following window will appear:

Go to your email and check the mail from 3Speak. (Check Spam Folder as well) You can click on "Verify Email" link to confirm your identity/ownership. You can now login with your id and password and follow the next step.

Step 3 - Connect Your Hive Accounts(s)

As soon as you login to creator studio with the new credentials, below screen will pop-up:

You can add the username under "HIVE Account" and click on "Next". This step has to be done once for each Hive Username you would like to connect with your 3Speak Account.

Once you add your "Private Posting Key" and Click on "Next", you will be redirected to your channel's dashboard.

Switch Accounts

Anyone can connect more HIVE Accounts by choosing the switch account option as shown below:

"Connect New Hive Account" option is same as STEP 3 in the above section.
"Switch" button will activate a different Hive Account and the channel associated with it.

This option will help the users to navigate through multiple channels using the same login id.
