Weekend at home equals quick and easy food! And what's easier than an omelet?
And this one I bring you today is my kids' favorite because it's a combination of their favorite things: eggs, sausage and fried plantain!
Happy #hivefood day beautiful people, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend enjoying the rest and eating delicious things. Today I want to share with you a recipe from the weekend at home but with some modification.
It is a sausage omelet with fried plantain! A combination that if separated is delicious imagine having a bite with all these flavors at the same time. I will only say that you must try it!
Super simple to prepare despite having several steps, but definitely worth it and compared to other recipes it is done really fast and the result is delicious.
For its preparation are few ingredients that we will need and I think they are usually things that we usually have at home. So there is nothing complicated about it and much less about its preparation.
At home we usually serve it with bread and sometimes with lettuce, tomato and onion salad, which is our children's favorite, but this time we made it with bread. You can make it at home with whatever you want, the idea is not to complicate things.
And now, let's get to the ingredients for four people.
8 eggs, beaten and seasoned with salt and pepper
8 sausages
1 small onion
1 sprig of onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 large plantain
Cut the plantain into slices and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
While the plantain is frying finely chop the vegetables and sausages.
Once the plantains are ready, fry the sausages and vegetables in two tablespoons of oil until golden brown.
While frying the sausages, proceed to beat the eggs very well, and add salt and pepper.
And now we are ready! We are ready to assemble our omelet, and we will start by adding some egg in the pan. Next we will place the plantains, a little more eggs, again plantain and finish with egg.
Lower the flame to the minimum, cover and let it cook.
Generally they are turned to take color on both sides, but I like to keep its yellow color and appreciate the components of the omelet as you can see in the pictures.
And as I mentioned, this time we only served it with bread since the rest of the components were in the tortilla.
As you can see it is a super simple lunch, ideal for weekends or when you don't have much time to make elaborate dishes, but I can assure you that it is a delicious combination.
At home we usually prepare it once a week, although if it were up to my children they would eat it every day!
And well friends, that's all for today. I hope you liked this practical recipe and that you can prepare it at home. Kisses and blessings!
Besitos y bendiciones!
