Buen día, amantes de la comida y cocineros en general. El día de hoy vengo con una reseña de algo que me encanta. Digo, una de mis pasiones es comer. Así que hablar de la comida es algo natural. El alma de gordo se sabe expresar a través de las palabras. Así que aquí vamos.
ZEN es un sitio de postres para llevar ubicado en una transversal de la Av. Gran Mariscal en la ciudad de Cumaná. Llevan varios años haciendo una labor increíble en su nicho. El equipo de ZEN explotó su popularidad durante la pandemia. De entrada, en el lugar no hay mesas. Es lo que llamaríamos postres para llevar. Es un concepto bastante interesante porque no genera tiempos de espera ni problemas de estacionamientos o esperar por mesas. En algún momento, lanzo el vlog de una cosita a ZEN.
¿Qué venden? Bueno, su punto fuerte son los Rolls de Canela. Lo que ven en la primera imagen es una bandeja de 4. Al lado, hay un vaso FroZEN. Esto es un concepto parecido al McFlurry. Es un vaso de helado con un topping variado. Cabe destacar que el helado es hecho por ellos mismos. Es muy bueno. Tiene una consistencia firme y no se endurece demasiado cuando se guarda en el congelador. Del topping no puedo decir lo mismo, pero es que los dulces y el frío no siempre se llevan bien.
Los roles dulces tienen 4 toppings: arequipe (dulce de leche), chocolate, crema de limón y una preparación a base de leche condensada. Los FroZEN tienen presentaciones hasta los momentos: Nutella, Choco Maní (Chamín), Toddy Brownie, Pie de Limón, Pie de Parchita, Samba de Fresa.
Todos son muy buenos. Adicionalmente, cuentan con galletas, vasos de rolls picados y rolls salados (pizza y pan de jamón).
Ofrecen servicio de delivery y además, puedes hacer regalos de ZEN a tus seres queridos donde se agrega una nota con algunas palabras que quieras decirles. Comer ZEN es toda una experiencia.
Lo que puedo decir acerca de su producto es que siempre se nota lo fresco del mismo. Nunca he escuchado queja alguna sobre algún roll viejo o duro. En mi caso, tuve que guardar los míos en la nevera porque pedí todo esto muy tarde (no quería que me diera un coma diabético por la noche). Lo que puede decir es que incluso con el tema del pan frío, el sabor no cambia. Sigue está igual de rico al día siguiente.
Sobre el helado, mi única queja es que el topping se vuelve muy duro cuando se enfría. Pero esto es más una queja muy quisquillosa que algo relevante. He comido estos vasos recién sacados del negocio y nunca he tenido una queja. Bueno, quizá una. ¡Se acaba muy rápido!

Hasta los momentos, no he probado todos los rolls. Me faltan los salados, pero es la excusa perfecta para hacer video-reseña. De los FroZEN, solo me falta el de Samba. Mi favorito era el de Oreo, pero ese salió de la lista hace un tiempo. Mientras tanto, el de Choco Maní ha cumplido con mis expectativas.
Se acaban rápido
Si alguna vez se encuentran en Cumaná y tienen antojo de dulce, pregunten a alguien por la dirección de ZEN. Les puede asegurar que querrán vovler aunque sea por comerse un dulcito de estos.
Como nota de cierre queiro decir que esta iba a ser una reseña en video, pero no me resistí a comerme las cosas antes de hacerla. Además, era tarde. Pero no quise hacerla después porque no tiene sentido hacer una reseña de vídeo cuando ya había guardado los rolls es la nevera.

Having Some ZEN
Hi there, food lover and cookers in general. Today, I'm talking my favorite thing: tasty treats to eat. This is a review about some sweet stuff that makes your mouth water. Taking about food is like second nature to those who love to goble it up. Let's get to it!
ZEN is a sweets takeout located in near Gran Mariscal Avenue in the city of Cumaná. They've been selling their goodies for many years now and it's one of the best business who have adapted to the whole pandemic situation. To start, there's no tables to sit. You get there pick your food and go on your way. This is a good concept as it doesn't imply cleaning nor having to wait tables or have people waiting for them. I'll be doing a vlog about it soon.
What it is they sell exactly. Their main thing are Cinnamon Rolls. There a dish if 4 in the picture above. Next to it, you have my favorite item, a FroZEN. It is a similar concept to a McFlurry, a cup of ice cream with a topping. It is noteworthy to mention the fact that this ice cream is made by them. It is so good! It's consistency doesn't change if you store it in the fridge. I can't say the same for the topping but some sweets do not like cold.
Their rolls also have toppings. The main ones are: dulce de leche, chocolate, sweetened milk, and lemon ganache. FroZENs have 6 different toppings: Nutella, Choco Peanut, Brownie, Lemon Pie, Passion Fruit Pie, and Strawberry Samba (a national waffer covered in chocolate with a strawberry filling).
They are all really good! They also sell cookies, chopped rolls in a cup and savory rolls (pizza and ham bread)
They offer deliver service and you can also send a special one a ZEN gift bag with a personalized note to show them your love. Eating their desserts is the sweetest experience!
On the product review I can say that you can always expect a fresh product. I haven't seen a single complain anywhere about a stale roll. In my recent experience, I had to store the rolls because I bought them too late (I didn't want to get into a diabetic coma in the middle of the night) and besides getting a bit hard because of the cold, the flavor remind unscathed.
About the ice cream my only complain is that the topping gets too hard when you refrigerate the thing. But that isn't an issue a metal spoon can't solve. It's just me being finicky. I have eaten plenty of these in the go and they are always amazing. My only other complain is how fast I finish them!

For the moment, I haven't had all the rolls. I'm missing the savory ones, but that's the perfect excuse to go and have some and show you about it. I'm still missing the Samba FroZEN. My favorite was the Oreo one, but that has been replaced in the list. For the time being, Choco Peanut quenches my needs for ice cream.

If you are ever visiting Cumaná and want to eat something sweet, just ask to the address of ZEN. I guarantee you'll want to come back even if just to eat dessert.
As a final note to my post I would like to say that this was supposed to be a video review; however, my cravings got the best of me and I eat the ice cream. Also it was late and the light wasn't too good to try a video. Also, I didn't do it the next day because I had stored the rolls in the fridge. And it wouldn't do any justice to show this as a hard bread.
